If hard and difficult is something you're looking for in a mod pack then Mors Et Rosa is a perfect solution. It "revamps" Minecraft's survival and makes it longer and in some parts make more sense.
Currently, it adds more technology, extended gameplay, and most importantly more things to just tinker around with. Although Most Mods May Seem Familiar One Must Be Aware That MOST Of Them Have Been Changed.
