About

Description

This pack is still under development so many (most) things have not been implemented yet.
In the beginning, there was nothing.  An endless void of forge loading.  Then some bumcap said, "Let there be light!"  After everyone looked at him for randomly shouting in an otherwise quiet room he elaborated.  "Let there be a lightweight modpack that doesn't take an eternity to load up."
That's the true origin story of this pack.
After getting distracted by shiny new mods, and messing around with other modpacks, the focus shifted on to a more expansive yet refined mining experience, plus expert pack style crafting recipes because I like big projects and large resource requirements.
Know what the best part is?  This pack is probably going to get to 10 minute load times anyways.
What can you expect from this pack?
 ► Disappointment.

 ► A mining progression system!
  • There are now 15 harvest levels.  Rocks and ores have new harvest levels according to their tier and relative real world hardness on the Mohs hardness scale.  (Some liberties were taken for the sake of gameplay.)
  • The raw ore will need to be processed before it can be made into usable ingots.  Materials will gain additional processing steps as they increase in harvest level.

 ► It's all about Tinker's Construct
  • All the tool and armor materials have been worked into a tier based on the harvest level.  The higher the material tier, the better the stats all around.
  • Tool and armor parts have been reading too many self-help articles and insist that they need to break the mold and strive for individuality.  Hammer them back into submission on the cold hard reality anvils of Tinker's Forging because you need functional tools.  (Casting doesn't work.  Parts must be forged)
  • The Tinker's Construct smeltery, Tinker's Complement Melter, and Tinker's Complement High oven are the primary structures for metal finishing.  Ingots won’t magically form from bits of metal in a vanilla furnace.
  • Many crafting table recipes have been reworked to require casting on a casting table or casting basin.
  • Smeltery is life.  Smeltery is love.  Smeltery notices its Senpai.

► Artisan Worktables for All the things!
  • Most every crafting recipe has been moved to an artisan worktable because I like having dedicated workstations for different things.
  • This is also to address the extreme load times caused by Tinker's Construct during its oredict recipe scanning feature.  (Goes from around 40,000 MS of processing time to 8000)

 ► Food, Farming, and Feasting
  • Mowing the lawn won't bury your inventory in seeds.  Seeds come from a fully grown crop found naturally in the world.  Vanilla wheat seeds can be obtained by stabbing tall grass.  (aka, you need to have a knife to get seed drops from grass)

► Angry things that don't like you having hearts.
  • Hostile Mobs will become more dangerous as you delve deeper into the Caverns. They are pretty chill in the overworld.

► It's like Minecraft but with guns!
  • The Minecraft Receiver mod finds a home here.
  • Gunsmithing will be an endgame operation that will drive you completely insane.

Why does the last line always lose its formatting?
