visually probably one of the best modpacks in the world, it doesnt get much better than this

The first time I played with this modpack, I thought I'd get bored and quit. But then I saw a chainsaw in the crafting options... At that moment, I realized that here it was, the love of my life. SEEING IT IN MY HAND, I COULDN'T STOP PICKING UP ALL THESE MOB HEADS. I FELT THE SATISFACTION THAT I COULDN'T GET FOR SO LONG. I BECAME FRIENDS WITH THE CHAINSAW, AND HER NAME WAS MARLA. SHE WAS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER TALKED TO. I SPENT ALL MY TIME ON HER, AND IN THE END WE GOT MARRIED. SHE LOVES ME, AND I LOVES KILLING. This modpack is top 10/10.

Nuclear Tech: New Horizons

The modpack that the HBM Nuclear Tech mod always deserved.

NT:NH is a hardcore quest-based modpack for Minecraft 1.7.10. The premise is simple: take the HBM Nuclear Tech mod - one of the deepest and most underrated mods in the world of modded Minecraft- and apply the GTNH approach. Structured progression. True depth. A questbook that truly teaches you the mod, rather than assuming you already know it.

What is this?

This isn't a "throw nukes at everything" modpack. Frankly, the nuclear theme is almost secondary here. NTM is a full-fledged industrial simulator: multi-level factory gameplay, chemical processing chains, a hidden lore system, and a decade of active development that most players have never touched. NT:NH is designed to change that.

Over 300 quests will take you from survival in primitive conditions to alloy smelting, energy grid design, chemical processing, fission and fusion reactors, and more!

But even considering that there is some space for exploration! Find dungeons, fight bosses, unlock secrets. Did you know that NTM has lore?? You better check it out!

Key Features

⚙️ Machines That Build Machines - It starts simple: a press, a blast furnace, some steel. Then you're running gas centrifuges, piping chemicals through processing plants, and automating assembly lines. The recipes get complex, the chains get long, but that's where the good stuff lives.
 
⚡ Power With Consequences - Coal and diesel get you started. Steam turbines pick up the pace. Then comes the nuclear age: Chicago Pile, ZIRNOX, the towering RBMK. Later still, fusion and dark matter waits for the truly committed. Each step demands more infrastructure, more planning, and a healthy respect for what happens when things go wrong.
 
🧪 Chemistry You Can't Skip - Oil refining, uranium enrichment, petrochemical processing - these aren't side quests, they're the main road. Some materials like Schrabidium have no natural source at all. You'll need to breed them, transmute them, or otherwise convince the universe to make them exist.
 
☢️ Hazards That Respect You - Radiation scales from nuisance to lethal. It spreads through chunks, kills plants, and lingers where you don't want it. Flammable gases, lung disease from hazardous materials, and the ever-present possibility of a meltdown mean your safety systems are not decorative. Cover your RBMK columns. You'll thank yourself later.
 
💀 True Difficulty - New hunger system, smarter mob AI, new mobs, and challenging boss battles. Mistakes are costly. Victories are earned.
 
🚀 Weapons and Rockets, Survival-Ready - The bombs are real bombs now: Gadget, Fat Man, thermonuclear devices, Schrabidium warheads. Craft the explosives, build the missiles, set up turrets and defenses. Everything from warhead to launch button is made by hand in survival.
 
🌌 Space Is Part of the Endgame - Multi-stage rockets, orbital stations, planets with real atmospheres and bedrock ores. Each destination has its own challenges and its own rewards. Pack a spacesuit, check your drive processors, and try not to breathe the vacuum.

Who is it for?

New to HBM's Nuclear Tech mod? This quest book is designed to teach you everything from scratch. No prior knowledge of NTM is required.

Experienced NTM player? Modified mechanics from the original NTM and its integration with other mods are available to you too. In fact, devs are doing some BIG STUFF on reworking the vanilla NTM expirience.

If you've played GTNH and wondered what a build based on NTM in the same spirit would look like, here it is.
