Description

Oathwrought is a deliberately slower, hands-on survival modpack built around patience, preparation, exploration, and meaningful progression.
It is designed for both single-player and cooperative play. You can survive alone, establish a settlement with friends, or spread out across the world and rely on physical maps, radios, marked trails, and carrier-pigeon mail to remain connected.
This is not a pack about rushing through familiar milestones. If you are accustomed to finding diamonds and completing the early game within an hour, Oathwrought has a harsh surprise waiting for you.

Oathwrought intentionally asks the player to interact with its systems directly.
Tools are not merely selected from a crafting menu. Early stone must be gathered and knapped into usable shapes. Metal must be heated, worked on an anvil, quenched when necessary, polished, and assembled from separate components.
Navigation depends on physical maps, compasses, landmarks, chalk markings, and trails. Communication can require proximity, radios, or delivered mail. Farming must account for seasons and shelter. Survival in extreme climates depends on clothing, food, equipment, and preparation.
These processes are not obstacles waiting to be automated away immediately. They are the substance of the pack.
Oathwrought wants you to handle materials, prepare workspaces, use the correct equipment, and participate in the work behind every advancement. Its hands-on nature is intentional, because progress feels more meaningful when the player is involved in creating it.

Oathwrought transforms progression into a collection of physical, connected processes.
Your earliest tools must be knapped from stone. Metal equipment requires proper components, heat, tools, anvils, forging, quenching, polishing, and final assembly. More advanced materials demand better equipment, greater preparation, and knowledge gained through experience.
The purpose is not difficulty for its own sake. Progress is slowed so that each advancement has room to matter. A dependable set of tools, a secure shelter, a successful expedition, or access to a new material should feel like a genuine accomplishment rather than another disposable step toward the endgame.
Oathwrought is meant to unfold across many play sessions. The journey between milestones is part of the experience.

The world expects preparation.
Weather, seasons, altitude, wetness, heat, cold, shelter, food, and clothing all influence survival. Crops have growing seasons. Winter can threaten an unprepared farm. Soups, stews, warm drinks, refreshing foods, insulation, campfires, waterskins, and climate equipment provide practical answers to environmental danger.
Travel is also more deliberate. Unrestricted navigation is replaced by physical tools such as the Antique Atlas, compasses, chalk markings, and player-made trails. Expeditions become something you plan rather than something you begin with an empty inventory and no consequences.
A careless departure can leave you cold, lost, hungry, poorly equipped, or stranded far from home.

Oathwrought places value on settlements, workshops, farms, roads, kitchens, storage, and communication.
Farmer’s Delight and its integrations make food preparation useful beyond simply filling the hunger bar. Create allows machinery and automation to become part of an established settlement. Backpacks, movable storage, improved fishing, village bounties, radios, and other carefully selected systems expand what players can build and maintain without removing the need for planning.
The pack supports cooperation without requiring everyone to remain in the same place. Players can establish separate homes, exchange supplies, leave physical directions, communicate locally, operate radios, or send mail between distant settlements.
Solo players receive the same systems as tools for independence, organization, and long-term survival.

Oathwrought expands exploration through new environments, structures, creatures, dangers, resources, and dimensions.
These places are not intended to be rushed through immediately. Reaching them safely, surviving what lives there, and returning with valuable materials should require suitable equipment and forethought.
The world is made more atmospheric without replacing its intended visual identity. Changing seasons, accumulating snow, cinematic clouds, windblown precipitation, ambient effects, environmental sound, and physical navigation help familiar places feel more grounded and alive.

Oathwrought is not a random collection of popular mods.
Its recipes, progression routes, equipment systems, material requirements, seasonal crops, temperature-aware foods, navigation tools, starter guides, visual presentation, and compatibility layers have been configured and adjusted to support one cohesive direction.
The pack includes its own internal Oathwrought compatibility mod, created specifically to connect otherwise separate mods to the pack’s progression.
This compatibility work changes vanilla and modded recipes, introduces new forging routes, connects equipment from other dimensions to Overgeared’s component-based smithing, adds custom armor materials and fur clothing, supports temperature and seasonal systems, repairs inconsistent recipe behavior, and helps the included mods function as parts of one deliberate experience.
A substantial collection of custom equipment components, tool heads, blades, frames, armor plates, heated materials, clothing icons, armor textures, recipes, integrations, guides, and balance adjustments was created specifically for Oathwrought.
Hollis personally edited the custom component artwork so that new forging pieces visually match the tools and equipment they eventually become.
Custom item artwork, menu branding, written guides, patch books, recipe changes, balance adjustments, climate integrations, and extensive testing help the pack feel like a single experience rather than several unrelated systems installed together.
Created, directed, assembled, configured, balanced, and release-tested by Hollis.

Oathwrought will not be for everyone.
It is for players who enjoy hands-on interaction, patience, preparation, immersive systems, slower advancement, dangerous journeys, meaningful equipment, and the satisfaction of building something that took time to earn.
It does not exist to help you reach the endgame as quickly as possible. It asks you to live in each stage of progression, learn its processes, prepare for what comes next, and appreciate every step forward.
If that sounds exhausting, Oathwrought may not be the pack for you.
If that sounds rewarding, then gather some flint.
You have work to do.
OATHWROUGHT DEVELOPMENT & CREDITS
Oathwrought was conceived, directed, assembled, configured, balanced, visually edited, and release-tested by Hollis.
The internal Oathwrought compatibility mod currently contains 367 recipe definitions, including 10 direct vanilla recipe overrides, 15 custom Overgeared equipment mappings, and 22 armor recipes converted to plate-based construction.
The compatibility module contains 89 custom textures, including equipment components, flattened armor plates, heated ingots, clothing icons, and complete armor textures for the Wild Fur and Yeti Fur sets.
Hollis personally hand-edited and supplied 64 custom equipment-component textures: 55 realm-material heads, blades, frames, and working components, plus 9 Neptunium components.
The Oathwrought team implemented the custom compatibility architecture, recipe and data integrations, armor plates, heated materials, Wild Fur and Yeti Fur clothing sets, climate compatibility, seasonal support, guides, presentation work, and technical revisions requested by Hollis. All additions were developed under Hollis’s direction and included following Hollis’s review and approval.
Dedicated testing by NuNuVibe, FayededSky, and MorbidJester.
“Dream Land” composed by NuNuVibe. Featured as Oathwrought’s main-menu theme and as an obtainable in-game music disc.
An original soundtrack for Oathwrought is currently in development.
Oathwrought incorporates the work of many talented Minecraft mod developers. Full individual mod credits, licenses, and dependencies are available through the installed mod list and associated project pages.
