PecanCraft - Welcome to the Oilfield

PecanCraft is a welcoming, exploration-driven Minecraft modpack built for mixed groups of seasoned players, total beginners, engineers, geologists, landmen, and anyone curious about how energy systems really work. This is the modpack used for the Pecan Tree community server, and blends the fun of modded Minecraft with the fascinating world of oil & gas development, modern engineering, and real-world geology. 

Start your adventure in a beautiful, custom-seeded world shaped by immersive terrain mods. Set up home near towering cottonwood trees, lush Permian-style plains, and rich resource belts waiting to be discovered.

Whether you're here for cozy building, technical automation, or teaching colleagues what a lateral well actually is, there's something for everyone.

Learn as you play with Immersive Petroleum, Create, PneumaticCraft, Immersive Geology, and a suite of engineering-focused mods that let you explore drilling, geology, processing, power generation, pipelines, logistics, and energy economics — all in a playful, hands-on sandbox. Build drills, pumpjacks, frac water systems, refineries, and fully integrated energy grids… or just build a cute pink house and explore with friends.

Newcomers can jump right in thanks to generous quality-of-life tools like backpack systems, teleportation stones, FTB Quests, waypoints, minimaps, simple farming, big trees, and easy villager trading. The world remains peaceful and approachable while still offering deep engineering depth for those who want it.
