the modern equivalent of JABBA's barrels, drawers are a great way to organize one's base without creating much clutter. Using the Framing Table and its' related items, one can decide the appearance of a drawer, allowing them to fit wherever, whether that be in a Gregtech jumble or forgotten storage for your cobble gen.

Performance-wise, it is fine so long as it isn't abused. Giant cubes of drawers connected to a drawer controller to be connected to whatever storage system there is in your pack can create ungodly amounts of lag - but these can easily be prevented.

I don't even know what to say. It's disgusting that lazy modpacks like this get this popular. When I say this is just mods thrown together, I mean it. ZERO config changes, ZERO texture changes, ZERO custom recipes, ZERO custom loot tables, and ZERO UI changes. It's also missing several key optimization mods, so it doesn't even have good performance. Stay away from this **** people and please stop promoting lazy ""vanilla+"" modpacks with NO quality.

I've been playing different versions of this modpack on and off for the past 2 years, and I have to say that there's nothing like it. It's surprising that a single modpack has had continuous development for as long as RoTN has, and every version brings new and improved progression and mechanics that slowly inch towards the grand vision behind the modpack.

RoTN is a "hardcore" survival modpack with achievement-based progression, and a very integrated collection of mods. Every 10-13 days, an invasion happens, prefaced by a Terraria-boss-like message, that you must defend against. The current version of the modpack has particularly difficult invasions. The strength and type of mobs in the invasions scales with your achievement progression, starting with getting good armor, then unlocking the Nether, the Aether, the Beneath, the End, and the Twilight Forest. Many of the mobs in invasions can break through blocks, and later, fly. It is up to you to build a base that can withstand the onslaught.

This modpack fully integrates each of the mods within it. Gone are the days when modpacks have Botania or Thaumcraft or some other huge mod with an entirely separate progression system. Nor are there any huge tech mods isolated from all other mods, like Tech:Reborn, AE2, or Mystical Agr. RoTN has magic, tech, and exploration within its progression system, but everything flows smoothly. You never feel like going down one path means you are at a standstill somewhere else. Regardless of what you focus on, everything is going to help you survive the night, and maybe even get to a new dimension.

The modpack has its own soundtrack and texture packs. These help in setting the atmosphere, and integrating all of the different mods with a consistent art style. You're also always free to turn off these things by adjusting your setting if you prefer the original look, or would like to play your own music.

The performance of this modpack is one of the best things about it. I use an 8 year old gaming laptop, and my CPU often struggles with running other modpacks, especially the really large ones like DDSS, SevTech, or any Kitchen Sink stuff. RoTN has way better performance. Of course, it's not perfect, but for the quantity of new and original content in the modpack, the gameplay experience and the FPS I can play it at is fantastic. I would still recommend closing as much as you can while playing though, if you're on a weak computer like mine.

Finally, the modpack has a great community on its discord. You don't have to scour old wikis or reddit posts, but instead receive near-immediate help from experienced players. And, the modpack is far from being completed; future updates promise a ton of new content that will make this modpack even more enjoyable. RoTN hits the sweet spot for a challenging progression-based pack, without the non-sensical BS of RLCraft or the monotonous grind of SevTech. Without a doubt, my favorite modpack.

This pack actually took me three tries to get past a day or two of playing. The start is heavy focused on magic and Create, very cliche. Once I was able to get past the start, the middle of the pack was pretty generic and smooth. There is a heavy reliance on Modular Routers for the automation that Refined Storage is unable to do. Towards the end, you are expected to build very large multiblocks, ending on huge tree. The problem is that when the multiblocks are enabled, you get huge lag. I had to remove the controller whenever I was not using the block. I was able to semi-automate this with a piston. I understand the huge multiblocks look cool... but did they not realize that when they are active that it tanks the TPS? Was this never tested?

It was enjoyable in parts, but I doubt I would ever play through this again.

The "Feed the Factory" modpack is an excellent Minecraft experience, with an exceptional combination of mods that make it a highly enjoyable and immersive game. The gameplay and progression are both outstanding, earning a solid 5-star rating. The addition of great mods such as Thermal Expansion, Buildcraft, and EnderIO enhances the gameplay experience significantly.

EnderIO is a standout mod that provides players with a wide range of machines, tools, and conduits for item transportation and energy transfer. The mod adds a great deal of depth and versatility to the game, allowing players to automate their factories and increase efficiency. The conduits are a particularly useful feature, enabling players to transport items and energy over long distances quickly and efficiently. The ender conduits are especially convenient, allowing players to teleport items instantly between locations.

The questbook in the "Feed the Factory" modpack is highly detailed and provides clear objectives and instructions on how to complete them, making it easy for players to progress through the game. This feature is a major standout and adds to the overall enjoyment and sense of progression in the game.

The aesthetics of the modpack could use some improvement, earning a 3-star rating, but it is still an enjoyable experience overall. Additionally, the modpack performs well, with minimal lag and smooth gameplay, earning a 4-star rating in performance.

Overall, the "Feed the Factory" modpack is an exceptional Minecraft experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding game.

I have no idea why this modpack got popular because it's literally a bunch of mods put together. There is nothing special about this pack and your time would be better spent playing something else. This modpack also started a trend of random vanilla+ modpacks that add nothing. The gameplay and balancing isn't anything special, not many texture changes; mostly vanilla and thep performance is OK.

'-A pack focused on speedrunning your way through dimensions, collecting the various resources needed to progress.
-Combat is mobility driven, centered around the player's ability to double jump and dash
-Progression is Nether -> Erebus -> Underdark -> Overworld -> End
-Loot consists mostly of trinkets, as well as experience for skills, and items to progress (food/resources)

A few notable warnings:
-To play the pack well, you need to use shaders. From experience, AMD devices can have issues running Chocapic Shaders, the recommended ones, and they can run slowly, especially on extreme settings
-Content after the nether is largely unfinished, although the nether is mostly complete and provides a fun experience

As it stands, this is a fun pack to give a try, but will not give you nearly as long an experience as RotN. Worth playing though, as a challenge try and get a time of under 10 minutes to escape the nether (post on the discord to show off 😎)

The config for quark (editable ingame, from the main menu) may be one of its best features, containing the ability to disable entire modules alongside tweaking specific additions. Their website clearly explains what each addition does, for every mc version of quark, in case you’re ever confused. In my opinion, these features alone make this mod stand leagues above others for casual players, modpack creators, and anyone who enjoys small, fun, (sometimes very QOL) features that mostly feel like they’d fit into the base game. It gives you the ability to completely customize the mod and cultivate it to your liking or needs. It’s also hard to fault this mod for that same reason: it’s trivial to remove features you don’t enjoy.

Ultimate Alchemy is a masterwork for its complexity. Not very many packs are comparable to it as it lacks QoL which improves the pack itself. It does not contain quests, or any guide to guide you to end, only a final goal. It Integrates with some unknown features of some mods and is rather short. You start with 2 barrels of infinite wood and stone, given creative flight, and infinite saturation you must build various automation to progress

It does not contain quests, or any guide to guide you to end, only a final goal. It Integrates with some unknown features of some mods and is rather short. You start with 2 barrels of infinite wood and stone, given creative flight, and infinite saturation you must build various automation to progress

In such a new version, it's difficult to create an expert modpack of similar quality to E2E. The progression, however, is plain annoying, without any guide on many things like how you're supposed to get a conduit to make a simple cooking pot of all things. Mods within do not mingle well, and progress does not feel nearly as rewarding as it seems to be intended to.
