Terrafirmacraft is the original total overhaul mod, changing every facet of survival gameplay. Past 1.12.2, there is an ingame guide for the player to inform themselves about every change in the mod.

The player is presented with several unusual challenges they must overcome in order to progress; for example, in order to leave the stone age, they must melt metal ore before pouring it into a mold and carefully smith heated metal into useful gear.

The environment is full of obstacles, some passive and others actively harming the player in a task. One of the former is temperature which can be fought by several means, like adapted crops, seasonal preparation and water management. As for the latter, one can think of mining, where the very stone around the player can cave in upon them, crushing any careless miner to mulch if they do not prepare with proper supports.

A large variety of tools is available to the player in order to overcome, and even take advantage of these mechanics. A builder might intentionally cause a cave-in with explosives in order to gather large amounts of cobblestone, or an early player could create elaborate sandwiches to improve their maximum health.

Overall, this mod has a flexible progression arc, and lets the player stray quite far from progression without any punishment. Alone, it can sate a player's appetite for a good challenge, or a relaxing experience for hours.

Unfortunately, the endgame doesn't consist of much- just like any modpack, or the vanilla game, it falls short in progression past the end consisting of the most refined of steels, perfected tool techniques and masterfully cooked meals. At this point, like a vanilla player, the only thing to do is to set your own goals. This is why I rate it 4/5, rather than 5/5.

The only thing holding up this pack is the quality of some of the mods within - some exquisite yet hidden gems like Hex Casting hold it up for the early game, but anything exclusive to the pack gets weirdly balanced.

As soon as you get your first 4 allthemodium nuggets (an "endgame" resource, quite easily obtainable in these small quantities either by mining, trading with piglins, defeating a weird boss or using a mining mod) you gain access to the endgame, which consists of veinmining mining dimensions (automatically mining is not a choice) until you find ores, three times, so that you can invalidate every single mod you've gone through. You can get to this point without touching any special content mod, via Apotheosis and its' incredibly powerful tools and weapons. Couple days in the pack and you've already made the game creative mode with grind.

The pack does not even try to hold the illusion of balance. With mods like Apotheosis and Potions Master (the latter of which literally giving the player xray), most tasks considered difficult or worthwhile in other modpacks are completed within a few seconds, thus leaving the player to wonder what process they can improve that hasn't already been made trivial.

It's a good playground for high quality mods you haven't seen yet and applying them to survival, but the requirement of allthemodium progression in some of these applications makes them not only boring to acquire, but useless afterwards since allthemodium's already replaced it.

Known for being one of the first popular dimension mods, this mod offers a decent variety of bosses. Unique attacks and gimmicks separate them from most mobs, and give them a special place in a playthrough. It is balanced around vanilla progression - most modpacks ignore this, and allow the player to get through the entire mod within an hour. Sadly, this treatment is almost universally applied to TF.

It also hasn't changed for the better part of a decade - the final area got a sign to say it's unfinished, a couple items were added and removed, and that's most if not all that's happened.

I give it 3 stars out of 5, for being a great experience the first time around, but unable to stand on its' own compared to other dimension mods.

the modern equivalent of JABBA's barrels, drawers are a great way to organize one's base without creating much clutter. Using the Framing Table and its' related items, one can decide the appearance of a drawer, allowing them to fit wherever, whether that be in a Gregtech jumble or forgotten storage for your cobble gen.

Performance-wise, it is fine so long as it isn't abused. Giant cubes of drawers connected to a drawer controller to be connected to whatever storage system there is in your pack can create ungodly amounts of lag - but these can easily be prevented.

In such a new version, it's difficult to create an expert modpack of similar quality to E2E. The progression, however, is plain annoying, without any guide on many things like how you're supposed to get a conduit to make a simple cooking pot of all things. Mods within do not mingle well, and progress does not feel nearly as rewarding as it seems to be intended to.

a great take on tech mods - especially the likes of rotarycraft and other mods that make use of rotational energy. FPS-wise it's not the best, and shaders tend to be incompatible but with some proper crafttweaking you can make modpacks last months on end with it alone. The Ponder feature allows quick understanding of any machine within less than a minute for the experienced, while newer players may inspect the workings of a Ponder scene to get a sense of what's going on.
