Minecraft 1.21.1 · Fabric · Solo & Multiplayer · Java 21

🧪 You're entering the 2.0 Beta.

Explore expanded modes, progression systems, and interface improvements while helping shape the next release. Bugs and modpack compatibility issues may remain: back up your world and configuration before updating, and keep server and client versions matched.

✨ Pick your next challenge

Your goal Your challenge
Put your own team to the test Trainer battles across 10 difficulty tiers, from level 10 to 100
Win with the choices you're given Draft: six picks, temporary Pokémon, and paid offer rerolls
See how far you can go Infinite Spire: an endless ascent with a boss every five floors
Outplay the competition Weekly Challenge: a shared opponent team, ranked by turns and time
Battle alongside a friend Two-player Co-op against a Challenger trainer
Give the whole server a goal Master of Challenges: a boss event with shared progress

Beyond the battles: daily bounties, win streaks, prestige titles, a customizable shop, Mystery Boxes, and personal battle history.

⚔️ Trainer battles — your team, your rules

Choose from ten difficulty tiers, from level 10 to level 100, and challenge teams of six Pokémon.

Available formats include single battles, double battles, and two-player cooperative challenges. Customize random or maximum IVs, legendary availability, and Level Sync. With Level Sync enabled, your Pokémon's levels are temporarily adjusted for the challenge and restored afterward.

Administrators can place general-purpose Challengers, fixed-level trainers, The Drafter, and the Infinite Spire keeper. Ten named trainers, from Scout Theo to Champion Atlas, give the challenge ladder its own cast.

Optional trainer styles introduce fire, rain, defensive, and offensive teams. Lower-level opponents use adapted pools, while higher tiers offer more advanced teams. Prefer classic random generation? These styles can be disabled; general-purpose Challengers retain classic generation.

Fine-tune the fight

Random or maximum IVs · Legendary controls · Level Sync · Optional trainer styles

Start small, experiment with your team, and work your way toward the level 100 challenge. The rules are yours to choose.

🎴 The Drafter — every pick matters

Three offers. One choice. Six chances to build a winning team.

Pick one Pokémon from three offers, six times, then battle with your temporary level 100 team. Your original party is backed up before the temporary team is installed and restored after the challenge.

Not happy with your current offers? Spend Challenger Points to reroll the three choices without losing your previous picks. By default, rerolls cost 50, 100, 200, 400 CP…, doubling throughout that selection. A new selection starts at the base price again. Server owners can change the starting price or disable rerolls.

Need a break? Close the selection screen and return to The Drafter later. Your picks, current offers, and reroll price are preserved, including across reconnections. An unfinished, paused selection does not prevent you from playing other challenge modes. Once an actual Draft battle begins, finish it or forfeit before starting another challenge.

Reroll the offers, not your progress. Your previous picks stay with you; only the current three offers change.

🏰 Infinite Spire — one more floor

A floating citadel. A rising challenge. A record waiting to be broken.

Ascend a mysterious floating citadel through increasingly difficult floors, with opponent levels rising up to level 100 and a boss every five floors.

  • Bag items are disabled during Spire battles.
  • Between floors, surviving Pokémon initially recover 25% of their maximum HP.
  • Return to the keeper to continue, or end your run between battles.
  • Track your personal best completed floor.

Defeat a boss. Choose your next advantage.

Choice Your reward
Rest Fully recover your team before continuing
Recovery Add 5 percentage points to between-floor healing, up to 50%
Risk Face stronger opponents for +25% boss Challenger Points, stacking up to +100%

Server owners can independently disable these bonus choices. Disconnecting ends the current Spire run.

The Spire has its own illustrated interface: a skyborne citadel, a restrained ornamental frame, readable progression markers, and a compact record display. Its atmosphere is designed to make the ascent feel like a destination, not just another menu.

🏆 Weekly Challenge — same opponent, different strategies

The opponent is shared. The strategy is yours.

Each week, players face the same saved opponent team, including its stats and moves. The challenge resets on Monday at 00:00 UTC, and the opponent team persists through server restarts.

Bring your own party, temporarily synchronized to level 100, into a single battle with bag items disabled. Rankings prioritize fewer turns, then shorter battle duration.

Check the weekly leaderboard with /ch weekly. Start through the challenge menu or use /ch weekly start while within eight blocks of a compatible general-purpose or level 100 Challenger.

Compete for the ranking, not the payout. The Weekly Challenge focuses on performance and the Weekly Challenger cosmetic title. It does not directly award Challenger Points or Relic Coins.

🔥 Turn victories into a reputation

Win streaks & prestige titles

Keep winning eligible standard challenges to grow your streak, unlock configurable milestone rewards, and earn shop discounts of up to 25%.

Classic streak eligibility requires a level 50+ challenge with Level Sync enabled, random IVs, and legendary opponents disabled. Eligible cooperative victories can also count. Draft, Infinite Spire, Weekly, and Master event battles do not advance this classic streak.

Earn a name worth displaying:

Rising Star · On Fire · Elite Trainer · Unstoppable · Veteran · Champion · Weekly Challenger

Select an unlocked title, use automatic selection, or hide it with /ch title.

Streak leaderboard settings, optional monthly resets, milestone rewards, and announcements can be customized for your server.

Master of Challenges — rally the server

Win streaks can trigger the Master of Challenges, a shared boss event for the server.

Each victory against the Master reduces its shared resistance. When players finally bring it down, participants receive the event's configured rewards.

Server owners control the spawn chance, duration, cooldown, Challenger Point rewards, and rare loot. A boss bar and dialogue help players follow the event.

Daily bounties — make every session count

Complete three daily objectives for Challenger Points, then claim an extra bonus for finishing the set.

Objectives include fast victories, type-focused teams, underleveled wins, battles without knockouts, Draft, cooperative victories, varied purchases, and evolutions. Both players can receive progress from a qualifying cooperative victory.

Bounties refresh with the server's local day without requiring a reconnect. Find yours with /ch bounty or /ch bounties.

💎 Challenger Shop — make your victories count

Spend Challenger Points across categories for Poké Balls, medicine, evolution items, miscellaneous supplies, services, and Mystery Boxes.

  • Customize item IDs, prices, quantities, and rewards through configuration.
  • Add items from other installed mods using their registered item IDs.
  • Browse paginated categories for larger catalogs.
  • Purchase services to maximize IVs, reset EVs, or make a Pokémon shiny.
  • Open weighted Mystery Boxes with configurable loot and rare-drop announcements.
  • Hear a discreet purchase confirmation sound after a successful item, service, or Mystery Box purchase.
  • Toggle the shop's music and configure category availability.

The shop catalog synchronizes when opened and after configuration reloads. Reward settings let server owners decide how Challenger Points enter the economy across supported modes.

Your economy doesn't use Relic Coins? No problem.

Keep the battles. Keep the points. Switch off the automatic coin rewards.

Merge this setting into config/cobble_challenge.json:

{
  "enableRelicCoinRewards": false
}

This disables the controlled automatic Relic Coin rewards without disabling battles, Challenger Points, rankings, or other reward items.

For separate controls, keep the global setting enabled and configure each source:

{
  "enableRelicCoinRewards": true,
  "relicCoinsFromNormalBattles": true,
  "relicCoinsFromDraftBattles": true,
  "relicCoinsFromWinStreaks": false
}

These are configuration excerpts, not replacements for the full file. They do not remove coins explicitly added to shop catalogs or custom loot pools.

📖 Every battle tells a story

Open /ch history to review recent battles: mode, result, turns, duration, awarded points, and battle reward items. Entries also explain whether the battle counted toward your streak.

The server retains 30 entries per player by default, configurable from 5 to 100. The history screen displays up to the latest 50 entries.

🛠️ Your server. Your rules.

Build the challenge experience that fits your community—not the other way around.

Customize Make it yours
Battles Difficulty, IV generation, legendary availability, and level synchronization
Rewards Challenger Points, streak milestones, and automatic Relic Coin sources
Shop Modded item IDs, prices, quantities, services, and Mystery Box loot
Progression Streak settings, optional monthly resets, and Spire bonus choices
Events Master spawn chance, duration, cooldown, and rewards
Administration Place NPCs, preview changes in-game, and reload configuration

The operator-only /ch admin panel provides in-game access to key settings, prices, point rewards, and shop item editing.

Changes use a preview, then apply workflow. Permissions, item IDs, and values are validated by the server, and connected players receive the updated catalog.

For advanced settings, edit config/cobble_challenge.json and run /ch reload. Configure the experience around your own progression, economy, and modpack.

NPCs are placed by administrators. The mod does not automatically generate arenas in the world.

Optional Mega Showdown integration

With Mega Showdown installed and integration enabled, higher-level opponents can use Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Terastallization, and Dynamax, depending on their level and generated Pokémon.

Mega Showdown is optional for the mod's core features.

Built with servers in mind

Routine saves are grouped through a bounded background queue, per-player histories are capped, and weekly challenges reuse a persisted opponent team. Data-driven menus request updates when opened or refreshed instead of continuously polling the server. Critical party and level recovery saves remain immediate.

Actual performance depends on simultaneous battles, Cobblemon, your modpack, and your hardware. No fixed player capacity or TPS target is guaranteed.
