Description

Destructive Moon

Are the Blood Moons from Enhanced Celestials not quite stressful enough for you? This mod aims to fix that.

Destructive Moon is an addon for Enhanced Celestials, designed to make the Blood Moon a truly terrifying and challenging event. When the red moon rises, the night will no longer be just about more monsters—it will be about something hunting you.

Core Features

  • The Blood Zombie: A new, formidable foe that only spawns naturally during a Blood Moon.

    • Terrifying AI: During a Blood Moon, these zombies become relentless hunters. They can break through certain blocks and place temporary Blood Blocks to build pathways toward their target.
    • Persistent Hunter: Once a Blood Zombie has locked onto you, it will not give up easily. Its pursuit is long-lasting and unwavering.
    • Dormant State: If a Blood Zombie somehow survives until morning or the Blood Moon ends, its advanced intelligence recedes, and it will behave like a standard zombie until the next Blood Moon empowers it.
  • Control the Night:

    • Blood Eye: Craft and use this item to force a Blood Moon to occur on the upcoming night. Use with caution.
    • Pure Eye: If you see a Blood Moon is scheduled and you are not prepared, this item can be used to prevent it, ensuring a peaceful night.
  • Optional Compatibility: This mod includes non-essential support for:

    • Apotheosis: Blood Zombies may spawn as powerful bosses.
    • Champions: Blood Zombies can appear as champion mobs with enhanced abilities.

A Note on the Art

You might notice the textures have a certain… unique quality. That's because most of them were generated by an AI. I did attempt to draw them myself first, but the zombies drawn by the AI are scary—the ones drawn by me were just sad.

This mod was created for a personal modpack, so future updates and maintenance will be based on the needs of that pack.
