Description

Mod in development and completely independent...

THIS MOD REQUIRED GECKOLIB (Only in 1.20.1 And 1.21.1) & Make sure you have the JEI (just enough items)

⚠️ Note: Groth Mobs is not compatible with mods that alter entity rendering or display mobs in interfaces (such as JEI-style creature viewers) or with custom npcs. This may cause graphical errors.

Groth Mobs is a mod that brings back the polygonal monster style from the 90s, featuring sharp-edged creatures, low-poly silhouettes, and more.

One of the main mobs is the Rootcrawler, a living tree-like creature that spawns in a 15% chance when you break an oak tree.  Its drop is the Glimmered Life Shard, a material used to craft the Crawler’s Sapbinder, a staff that lets you trap any mob you touch, wrapping it in roots for a few seconds.

In the Nether, you’ll encounter the Wammick, a floating eye surrounded by red tentacles. Getting too close will make your vision go completely black for a moment. When you kill it, it drops the Glimmered Iris Shard, which allows you to craft the Wammick Grasper, a weapon with two abilities: left-click shoots magma balls, and right-click summons a Wammick ally that automatically attacks any nearby hostile creatures.

In the Soul Sand Valley, you will find Carrion Pixies and Skullshriek, which are dark, flying skeleton-like creatures.

In the Overworld, a structure will appear that you can find in plains biomes, or by using /locate structure to find it. Inside, you will encounter the feared Flesh Scarabs, whose drop is Scarab Leather. You will also find Meat Root Scarabs, and even a Scarab Heart that will spawn these same mobs!

In the desert and desert hills, you will find Gold Sand Scarabs, and finally, in any snowy biome, you will encounter Troll Hunters (Mob that is not yet implemented)

FAQ:

How does the leveling system work?

-The leveling system goes from level 1 to level 5. The higher the monster's level, the more damage it will inflict and the greater the chance of its health increasing (but this is random).

Why aren't some models displaying correctly?

- Groth Mobs is not compatible with mods that alter entity rendering or display mobs in interfaces. If you install one of these mods, the models will be visible, but the low-poly aesthetic won't be rendered.

Can I contribute financially so the mod updates faster?

-Yes, of course! You can support me financially by contacting me via DM (pecsitonic_) and you'll receive progress screenshots before the updates are released.

Why do the models/textures look strange?

-It's part of the mod's aesthetic, and I wanted to create a mod that's different from most of the ones I make.

Is this mod based on another one??

No, this mod is completely independent. There is often some confusion with a popular mod called Lycanites Mobs, since it may seem similar in some aspects, but this project follows its own path and aims to offer a different experience. Note: If you want, you can try lycanites, it's very good :)
