About
Description
Entity hitboxes in your own colour and thickness, a highlight on whatever you are aiming at, and a particle manager that switches off single particle types.
Client-side only. It runs on any server, vanilla or modded, and nothing has to be installed on the server side.
Hitboxes
The box is drawn by the game itself — the mod only supplies colour, filtering and line width. That matters: a self-drawn box has to recalculate the interpolated position and visibly lags behind the model on servers. This one sits exactly where the model is.
- Free colour and line thickness (1–4)
- Separate switches for players, mobs and objects (crystals, boats, minecarts)
- Searchable list to hide individual entity types
- Target indicator: the entity under your crosshair gets its own colour, an optional glow outline, and optionally a fully tinted model
- Vanilla's debug extras (the flat red eye line, direction and velocity arrows) can be switched off, leaving just the box
While the mod is enabled it drives the vanilla hitbox switch, so F3 + B still toggles the display.
Particle manager
- Hide explosion particles — one click removes the whole explosion cloud, including End Crystals and TNT
- Hide particles — searchable list over every particle type
Particles are blocked when they are created, not when they are drawn. A suppressed particle is never allocated, so it costs no simulation time either. In situations with many particles — potions, explosions, an enchanting table — that is noticeable.
A few particles are built directly as finished objects by the game (firework sparks, for example) and do not pass through this point, so they cannot be hidden this way.
Settings open directly
Press H (rebindable under Options / Controls), or use the settings button in Mod Menu. Either way you land straight on the settings screen — no menu in between.
Settings are stored in config/nebula-hitbox.json and written as soon as you change them.
Requirements
- Fabric Loader 0.16.0 or newer
- Fabric API
- Java 21
- Mod Menu is optional — it only adds the settings button
