Description
Mebahel's Creatures – Dwarven Automatons
An ancient mechanical civilization rises once more. Deep within the earth—and now reaching into the void—the brass gears of a lost empire have begun to turn again.
Mebahel's Creatures – Dwarven Automatons introduces a complete faction of hostile machines to Minecraft, heavily inspired by the legendary Dwemer technology of the Elder Scrolls series. This isn't just a cosmetic addition. Every creature has been built from the ground up with custom AI, high-quality animations, and a progression system that feel native to the world. Expect intelligent machines, steam-powered combat, and sprawling industrial ruins that protect the secrets of their creators.

The Bestiary
A full lineup of ancient mechanical enemies, each with a specific tactical role:
| Creature | Role |
|---|---|
| Dwarven Spider | Fast scouting unit. Small and agile, it uses surprise attacks to overwhelm intruders. |
| Dwarven Spider Guardian | An up-armored variant of the Spider. More health and a relentless pursuit AI. |
| Dwarven Sphere | Hybrid combatant. Travels in a compact ball for speed and deploys into a deadly warrior. |
| Dwarven Centurion | Boss-tier. A massive titan that uses steam, heavy strikes, and massive health to crush players. |
Combat and AI
These aren't your typical mindless mobs. Dwemer engineering is complex, and their AI reflects a logic-driven defensive protocol.
- Transformation states — Dwarven Spheres dynamically switch between travel and combat modes based on distance.
- Steam-powered attacks — The Centurion utilizes high-pressure steam breaths and massive AOE strikes.
- Mechanical precision — Enemies evaluate the player's position and use specific movement patterns to flank or defend.
- High-fidelity animations — Powered by GeckoLib, every gear and piston moves realistically during combat and idle states.
Technology and Engineering
Salvage the past to build the future. The items found in this mod are key to your progression:
- Dwemer Metal Ingots — The primary material for crafting. Obtained by smelting scrap found in ruins or dropped by automatons.
- Dwarven Equipment — Powerful weapons and armor inspired by Dwemer design. Durable, efficient, and visually distinct.
- Mechanical Components — Rare items like gears and cores used for advanced crafting and technical progression.
- Building Materials — A wide array of metallic and industrial blocks to create your own ancient-tech inspired bases.
Structures
Three distinct types of ruins spawn in your world, each offering unique challenges and historical context.
End Dwarven Observatory
A silent sentinel floating in the void. These observatories are rare remnants of a time when the Dwemer sought to understand the mysteries of the End. Long ago, ancient researchers used these facilities to investigate Endermen and the strange properties of the dimension. Now abandoned by their masters, the halls are still patrolled by vigilant automatons. Exploring these floating laboratories provides a glimpse into Dwemer "Xeno-science" and rewards the player with high-tier loot and rare mechanical components.
Blackreach
An immense, naturally lit cavern system. This is a massive underground biome containing the ruins of a full Dwemer city. It is a high-risk, high-reward environment where players can find the greatest concentrations of automatons and treasures.
Raldbthar
A medium-sized Dwarven ruin. These functional mechanical halls serve as an entry point into Dwemer exploration. They are filled with active traps and guardian units protecting the industrial secrets within.
Shared Loot System
All Dwarven structures utilize a specialized loot chest system built for multiplayer environments:
- Every player receives their own independent loot roll from the same chest.
- Compatible with both vanilla and modded loot tables.
- Chests feature immersive mechanical spawn animations.
- Ensures that exploration remains rewarding for everyone on a server.
Configuration
Control the balance of your mechanical world through three JSON configuration files:
bonus_health_config.json — Set bonus health values (0 to 100) for every automaton to scale difficulty for your modpack.
combat_balancing_config.json — Fine-tune AI behavior, including attack probabilities and detection ranges.
spawn_rate_config.json — Adjust the frequency of structure and creature spawns on a 0 to 10 scale.
