Description
QShop Auto Buy (QAB)
QAB is a Fabric client-side mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that acts as an automated buying assistant for the QShop shop ecosystem. It reads a Chunk Scanner QShop database export, turns your building plans into a shopping list, computes the cheapest purchase plan, and then auto-navigates to each shop and buys for you.
Companion dependency: QAB is useless on its own. It requires Chunk Scanner (≥ 1.1.0), which supplies the QShop shop database and the navigation engine QAB drives. QAB does not scan servers or read shop data by itself — you must export the database from Chunk Scanner first.
What it does
- Schematic → shopping list. Parse
.litematic/.schem/.schematic/.nbtfiles (via the bundledschematic4jlibrary) into a count of every block you need, with multiplier, redundancy, exclude and sort options. Unbuyable blocks (fluids, fire, piston heads, etc.) are reported and skipped. - List + shop database → purchase plan. A greedy planner matches each item to the cheapest selling shops, computes total cost, and flags unmet required amounts (failed) and unmet redundancy (warnings).
- Plan → auto buy.
/qab nav applyqueues every shop in the plan and drives Chunk Scanner's navigation to walk to each sign (cross-dimension safe), then runs your buy command automatically on arrival. - Inventory-capacity aware. Before each order it checks how many of the item your inventory can actually hold; it buys only what fits and re-queues the rest. When your bag is full it auto-routes to a configured stash chest, unloads, and resumes.
Why you might want it
- Stop alt-tabbing between a blueprint and a price list — generate the list from the build file directly.
- Never overpay: the planner always buys from the cheapest shop first.
- Hands-free fulfillment: walk away while QAB visits every shop and checks out, pausing intelligently when storage runs out instead of dumping items on the ground.
What you must know before downloading
- Client-side only. Install in the player's
mods/folder. It does not touch the server. - Requires Chunk Scanner ≥ 1.1.0 and a QShop database export produced by it.
- Requires an active QShop setup on the server you play on, and that the server permits the buy commands QAB issues. QAB only automates your own pre-planned purchases; it does not invent trades or bypass shop permissions.
- Commands:
/qab select db|list,/qab generate list <schematic> [config...],/qab plan [name],/qab nav apply|stop <plan>,/qab stash add|list|remove. - Config file:
config/qab/qab.json(buy delay, buy command template, stash points, etc.).
