About

Description

ShockWave: Explosion
Realistic explosion mechanics.

Description

ShockWave: Explosion completely reimagines the explosion system in Minecraft. Instead of the standard instant sphere of destruction, each explosion creates a realistic expanding shockwave—a visible ring of particles that progressively destroys blocks and knocks back creatures with force depending on the distance.

The mod adds three types of explosives (fillers and bombs), a remote-activated detonator, a Geiger counter for measuring radiation, a fully functional nuclear mushroom cloud, and radiation sickness mechanics. All parameters are configurable in the config.

Three types of explosives:

+-----------------------+------------+-------------------------+----------------------+
| Item                           | Power     | Destruction Radius   | Shockwave Radius |
+-----------------------+------------+-------------------------+----------------------+
| Hundred-ton Bomb  | 100 tons  | 50 blocks                 | 150 blocks          |
| Kiloton Bomb           | 1000 tons | 100 blocks               | 300 blocks          |
| Nuclear Bomb          | 2000 tons | 150 blocks               | 450 blocks          |
+----------------------+------------+--------------------------+-------------------+

Realistic Shockwave
Visible ring of particles expands from the epicenter
Block destruction is progressive, not instantaneous
Different materials attenuate the shockwave differently
Obstacles between the player and the epicenter reduce damage

Radiation System
Radiation zone after a nuclear explosion
Accumulation of a dose of up to 5 gray
Radiation Sickness: 10 minutes until death, infects others
Geiger Counter: Crackling sound depends on proximity to the source

Damage Protection
Armor absorbs a fixed amount of damage (netherite: 60 HP)
Blocks in the beam's path attenuate the shockwave
Different materials - different attenuation
