Smooth Time makes changing the time of day feel natural and cinematic instead of instantly snapping the sun and moon across the sky.

Features

  • Smooth Time Skip — Whenever time changes (via /time set, /time add, server commands, or command blocks), the sky smoothly rotates to the new time like a timelapse.
  • Cinematic Bed Sleep — When you sleep in a bed, time fast-forwards smoothly through the night instead of cutting abruptly into morning upon waking up.
  • Atmospheric Sound — Subtle optional whoosh sound effect during the transition (can be toggled or adjusted in the config).
  • 100% Client-Side — Works in singleplayer and on any multiplayer server. The server does not need to have the mod installed.
  • Full Shader Support — Fully compatible with Iris, Oculus, OptiFine, and all shaderpacks (dynamic shadows, sunlight, and atmosphere adapt smoothly with the sky).
