Description
''Whatever you do, do not fall in the void. Dangers are lurking every corner and darkness envelops everything. Do not stay there for too long, for It may come after you...''
This mod adds a new horroresque dimension to explore with a ton of different and unique biomes, from wastelands of bones to flesh plains reeking of death, and multiple entities, hostile and passive alike. Test your skill against new bosses with complex attack patterns and get rewarded with strong weaponry and armor. The lore will keep you guessing on the history of a lost civilisation and their connection to the unholy.
To enter this dimension, you must fall in the Void. A hole in the bedrock can be found at the deepest layer of your world at 0,0. Simply jump in and you'll be there.

Alternatively, you can also fall in the Void in the End or get abducted.
To exit the dimension, craft and use a Void Pendant.

Many creatures await in these bone dunes for a prey. One of those creatures isn't like the others. It likes to watch from afar, in the dark, and waits for an unexpecting victim to step out of the light. But be careful, the inhabitants aren't very fond of light and will destroy any sources present. Whatever you do, STAY IN THE LIGHT, or you might be this thing's next meal...
Some creatures you will encounter :
Damned

Damneds are lost souls, once travellers like you that met their unfortunate demise in these lands. They no longer have any thoughts and they wander aimlessly around the wastelands.
Fool Eater
Fool Eaters are masters of camouflage, their dark skin blends well into the dark sky. They mimic damneds in order to attract prey.
Mourner

Mourners are mysterious peaceful beings stuck in these wastelands. They mourn the corpses of thousands of creatures scattered all around the Deep Void. Their sadness and despair grow upon nearby creatures.
Bone Crawler

Bone Crawlers are little insects that hide within the bones. They eat whatever they can find and prey in groups. Their bites are lethal and will rot the skin of their prey.
Rotten Corpse

Rotten Corpses are skeletons overtaken by rot. The souls of lost travellers still linger in them.
Lurker

Lurkers are amalgams composed of bones and souls. They do not possess a mind and will attack anything.
Abductor

Abductors are creatures that hide in the overworld caves. They shriek and wander around in search of a prey. They abduct living creatures and carry them for an unknown reason to an unknown place.
Wanderer

Wanderers are passive giant amalgams composed of bones and some sort of black growth. They wander towards the center of the Deep Void for an unknown reason. Once they encounter their peers, they return to the soil and become bones once more.

__________________________________________________________Frequently asked questions :
Spoiler
Q: Where can I share my ideas?/Where do I report bugs?
A: You can join the discord server, where you'll be able to discuss with other people, share your thoughts and ideas and report bugs and crashes. I am also very active on the server, so if you want to discuss with me directly, it'll be a pleasure to talk :). You can also go to the GitHub page of the mod and open a new issue ticket. Finally, please don't report bugs in the comments, use the appropriate places to do so. You can also provide feedback in the comments, I read every single one of them.
Q: Why is the Stalker so OP!?/Why does the Stalker exist?/How do I even survive the Stalker?
A: The Stalker is a way to punish players who don't stay in the light, kind of like the Warden. It's the whole gimmick of the dimension. To prevent encountering the Stalker, just stay in the light. You have a very generous window of time to find light and two warnings before it even shows up. You can also go to the Gloomy Deathgrounds, Staring Hills or Crawler Nest, where the Stalker doesn't spawn. When it does spawn, you have a lot of ways to counter it. Simply hiding in a hole works, but be careful as it can dig to you. You can also stay in light, since the Stalker hates light and will run away from any source. The Flare Gun is also another way of stopping the Stalker. When hit with the Flare, the Stalker won't be able to move for some time, it will be stunned. The Stalker Treat is another option. You can throw it to redirect the attention of the Stalker. If you absolutely don't like the Stalker, you can change the config file.
TLDR: stay in light, use the items provided to you, take advantage of the environment, you can change the configs.
Q: How do I get Voidrium?
A: Voidrium can be gotten by mining Voidrium Ore with a Shatterbone Pickaxe. It will give you one Rough Voidrium. The Shatterbone Pickaxe needs to be crafted with materials that you get from the Glutton Block, a very important block for progression. Feed it Desolate Soil. You also need Void Essence, which can be crafted from the heart dropped by the Voidborn.
Q: Where do I find Voidrium?
A: Voidrium can be found under specific biomes. Some of these biomes are: Mourning Graveyard, Filled Graveyard, Drifting Monoliths, Gloomy Deathgrounds, Staring Hills and Gathering Grounds.
Q: Where do I find the Voidborn?
A: The Voidborn can be spawn by stabbing yourself with an onyx needle while hallucinating. Alternatively, you can wait in the dark while hallucinating for some time to spawn it.
Q: Where do I find Gloom Soil?
A: Gloom Soil can be found in the gloom caves, a biome that generates under the windswept hollow.
Q: How do I progress in the mod?
A: Please check the Advancements Tab, it will guide you to where you need to be and completing some advancements will reward you with recipes in the Recipe Book if you don't have JEI. You can also check the wiki. The Deep Void's progression is boss-focused, meaning that you need to defeat certain bosses before being able to have access to some of the stuff in the mod.
Q: How do I enter the dimension?
A: To enter the dimension you need to fall in the void. This can be done by finding the structure at 0, -64, 0 in the Overworld, which creates a hole in the Bedrock and spawns even if the world was already created. Cracked Bedrock can also be found in the Overworld. When walking on top of it, it will break, creating a hole in the Bedrock. You can also fall in the void in the End to get there. Abductor can also spawn. When near them, they will grab you and send you to the Deep Void after some time. You can escape by crouching. To locate them, craft an Eye Of The Deep. It will highlight them with the Glowing effect and make a bell resonating sound. If it doesn't do that, it means that no Abductors are nearby.
Q: I don't like this aspect of the mod, how do I remove/change it?
A: You can modify the config file. Most stuff in this mod is configurable, like teleporting the Player when at -70 or spawning the structure at 0, 0. I suggest using the mod Configured to configure the mod. Alternatively, you can go in the configuration files in the files of your instance of Minecraft.
