The Fire Forge

The Fire Forge is a NeoForge addon for Antarchy that gives its legendary weapons a dedicated assembly station.

Features

  • Assemble Big Bertha, the Royal Guardian Sword, and the Royal Assailant Battleaxe in a persistent 3x3 forge inventory.
  • The three final weapons use forge assembly instead of ordinary crafting-table recipes. Their original Antarchy items, abilities, and ingredient quantities are preserved.
  • Big Bertha’s blade, hilt and handle remain crafting-table recipes. Higher-priority datapacks can customize those component recipes.
  • Instant, player-operated assembly with no fuel or FE power requirement.
  • Optional JEI integration showing assembly recipes and the forge catalyst.
  • Two placeable materials: Ultimate Alloy Block, the titanium–uranium precursor, and Sovereign Alloy Block, its finished material counterpart.
  • Ultimate Alloy drops only with an allowed tool; the default allowed tool is Antarchy’s Ultimate Pickaxe. Fortune does not multiply the drop.
  • Original 16x16 forge artwork, directional placement, and support for structure rotation and mirroring.

Survival acquisition and pack integration

This addon supplies the forge and weapon assembly system. It deliberately leaves alloy acquisition, alloy conversion, and structure generation to a modpack or datapack integration. Neither alloy has a default crafting recipe or natural generation in the standalone mod. Both are available in Creative mode.

The forge’s default crafting recipe uses six Dragonsteel ingots, a crafting table, and two Sovereign Alloy Blocks. It is enabled when Ice and Fire is installed. Fire, ice and lightning Dragonsteel ingots can be mixed.

Crazy Antarchy supplies its own progression integrations separately; they are not bundled in this standalone download. Pack authors can customize assembly recipes using the thefireforge:assembly recipe type and adjust harvesting using the thefireforge:ultimate_alloy_harvesting_tools item tag.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge 21.1.253 or newer in the 21.1 series
  • Java 21
  • Antarchy 2.1.1+1.21.1-neoforge, with Antarchy’s required dependencies

Install the addon on both the client and server. JEI is optional. Ice and Fire is needed for the default forge crafting ingredients, but is not a hard loading dependency.

Beta status

Thirteen server GameTests cover weapon assembly, recipe removal, ingredient handling, multiplayer-style shared inventory, alloy harvesting, and directional placement. Actual client GUI, JEI display and real multiplayer testing are still in progress.
