-
Protects entities inside the region from damage.

-
Restricts nearby pistons and standard mob griefing to help protect region boundaries.
-
Prevents new hostile mobs from spawning inside the protected region.
-
Configurable protection radius, center, and dimension.
-
Green system messages with the prefix [The Lounge Schutz System].
-
Protection settings persist across server restarts.
Default region
The default region is centered on the Overworld world spawn, with a square radius of 100 blocks. Boundaries are included, creating a 201 × 201 block area across the entire world height.
Protection applies permanently to all players. There is no operator bypass or individual unlock system.
Commands
-
/schutzor/schutz info— Show region settings and help. -
/schutz radius <blocks>— Set the radius from 0 to 10,000 blocks. -
/schutz mitte— Set your current position and dimension as the protection center. -
/schutz weltspawn— Make protection follow the Overworld world spawn again. -
/schutz meldungen true— Enable entry and exit messages. -
/schutz meldungen false— Disable entry and exit messages.
Management commands require permission level 2 or higher. The server console can use all commands except /schutz mitte.
A radius of 0 protects only the center column; it does not disable protection. Commands and in-game feedback are currently in German.
Hostile mob prevention
New entities classified as MONSTER or marked with Minecraft’s Enemy interface are blocked inside the region. This includes zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, and endermen.
Standard natural spawns, spawner spawns, and newly added hostile entities are covered. Animals and villagers remain allowed.
Existing saved mobs are not deleted. Mobs walking into the region from outside are not removed or stopped at the boundary.
Requirements and installation
-
Minecraft Java 1.21.1
-
NeoForge 21.1.252 or newer within the 21.1 series
-
Java 21
Install the JAR in the server’s mods folder and restart the server. No client installation or additional library mods are required.
Minecraft’s built-in spawn protection remains separate and may impose additional restrictions.
Limitations
This mod does not freeze the world or reset existing redstone signals. Administrative commands such as /fill, /setblock, /clone, and /kill are not filtered.
Custom mod machines, tools, fluids, or unusual entity spawning methods may bypass standard protection hooks. Compatibility with every mod is not guaranteed.
Beta status
Compilation, 21 automated region and persistence checks, and a targeted NeoForge class-loading test passed. Full testing in a running world with the complete modpack, including hostile mob spawn prevention, is still pending.
