About

Description

Summary

A mod that allows you to run an ender cult capable of stealing materials from other dimensions, allowing for an endless resource production with help of the endermen.

You can progress through the mod from scratch by starting and staying in the end dimension permanently, eventually through a skyblock world if you got chorus trees and at least 14 obsidian (or crying obsidian) to start.

Items

  • Portal Matter - The primary crafting material of the mod. Can be obtained from teleportation-related activities such as eating chorus fruit or using ender pearls, but also killing certain end mobs and running your cult.
  • Ender Cultist Helmet - A special helmet which lets you gain enderman trust. While slightly worse than diamond defense-wise, it's extremely enchantable and will make endermen not angry when stared at, but the most importantly - it will allow you to recruit and manage enderman cultists while worn.
  • Sin fruits - There are 6 types: fruit of wrath, greed, gluttony, pride, envy and sloth. These are infused chorus fruits with extra magic that gives the consumer an urge to do something. When consumed, these grant status effects to players. While wearing the ender cultist helmet, you can also give these fruit to endermen to convert them into cultists that will work for you.
  • Cult Leader Staff - An utility item used to manually tell enderman cultists what to do. You can tell them to follow you, assign them to a specific altar or make them forget what altar they're assigned to.
  • Chorus pickaxe - An odd pickaxe with durability worse than gold, mining speed of a stone pickaxe and a teleportation side effect, it has however one major purpose - it's capable of mining obsidian, allowing you to progress when you got nothing better available**.
  • Mob Pearls - Obtainable from rituals. These act as spawn eggs except these cannot be inserted into spawners, making them way more balanced. Warning: if you automate spawning mobs that get captured into these pearls during rituals, watch out because higher tier altars may spawn destructive mobs such as ghasts or even withers if you're (un)lucky.

Void Cult Items

Blocks

  • Void Altar - The primary point of interest for enderman cultists. They use this block to perform rituals and summon items from other dimensions. One altar can handle a limited amount of cultists, the limit can be raised by either upgrading the altar or augmenting it with end crystals. Higher altar tiers additionally unlock new, generally better loot tables.
  • Warped ore blocks - Blocks corrupted with portal matter, those are useless for tool making, but are essential for upgrading the tier of the Void Altar. Additionally despite their dimmer colors, these blocks emit a moderate amount of light.

To tier up a void altar, you have to build a beacon-like base under it out of appropriate warped ore blocks. If an altar sees an another altar in a 23x23 square around itself, it will automatically have its tier set to 0, so you can't save on resources by making altars share a base. Right click on an altar to learn about its status.

Right clicking on an altar with a portal matter (or supplying it via a dispenser) will automatically perform a ritual of a random type for the corresponding altar tier and generate loot.

Maxed Altar

Mobs

Enderman cultist - Your workers that will look for nearby void altars (prioritizing higher tier ones) and work at one if possible on a regular interval. Unlike regular endermen, these won't get angry when stared at, won't despawn when the difficulty is set to peaceful and their robes grant them rain protection.

There are 5 cultist types, each having their own unique loot:

  • Wrath - Fearless but also a little sadistic, will have fun kidnapping mobs and trapping them into pearls to release whenever you want.
  • Greed - Craving for treasures, loves their shine, will bring you all of the precious materials that can be mined underground.
  • Gluttony - Always hungry for food but also for knowledge, will provide endless supplies of food but also aid you in enchanting.
  • Pride - Views itself above nature and to reflect it, they will bring you stolen plants to prove it.
  • Envy - Jealous that the end dimension is so barren, will gladly steal building blocks from other dimensions to have a better looking base.
  • Sloth - Too lazy to steal items, will instead steal already ready loot from structure chests. May often produce empty chests, they're too lazy to even check if a chest has already been looted by someone else.

Enderman Cultists
