Description

Tired of pressing buttons and clicking levers to get through iron doors? Sick of creepers falling into your skeleton traps? Now you can sprint through iron doors without mobs following! Now your grinders can separate zombies from skeletons from creepers from blazes (and do much, MUCH more) with Uncle Jeff's Smart Pressure Plates!

Built using MinecraftForge 1.7.10 (b 1180) MP client and server.

As of 0.01.01 beta, this mod adds five pressure plates and one achievement. Each recipe is a 2x2 shaped recipe, two redstone dust under two "key ingredient". The achievement triggers** the first time you craft one after fulfilling the prerequisite (Repopulation).

If more than one relevant living entity is detected by a plate, then the plate's output signal equals the one strongest output signal among the detected mobs.

1) Person Detector (non-hostile humanoids)

    Ingredient = Hay Bale. Signals: player = 15,  villager = 2, pigman = 1

2) Livestock Detector (Animals raised for meat and/or materials)

    Ingredient = Clay Block. Signals: chicken = 1, pig = 2*, cow = 3, sheep = 4, (rabbit = 5), squid = 6, mooshroom = 7

3) Non-Farm Animal Detector (Passive animals not usually raised for meat or materials)

    Ingredient = Brick Block. Signals: bat = 1, horse = 2, wolf/dog = 3, ocelot/cat = 4

4) Monster Detector (Overworld hostile mobs except bosses)

    Ingredient = Mossy Cobble***. Signals: slime (or magma cube) = 1, zombie = 2, skeleton (or wither-sk) = 3, spider = 4, creeper = 5, silverfish = 6, witch = 7, (killer rabbit = 8), enderman = 9

5) Demon Detector (Netherworld hostile mobs, but not bosses)

    Ingredient = Quartz Block. Signals: magma-cube = 1, ghast = 2, skeleton = 3, wither-skeleton =4, blaze = 5,

* By design, pig and horse have same output signal.

** The crafting achievement seems to trigger only if you craft exactly one plate by simple drag-drop (no shift-click).

*** Mossy cobble is scarce and infested prior to v1.8. After 1.8 makes it craftable, the recipe for monster detector might need a kick. It might change to mossy stone-brick (if it's not craftable).

Future Flashes: I intend to add an owner plate and a minecart-chest content-weighted plate. The owner plate will only respond to the player who crafted it. The minecart-chest (storage cart) weighted plate will act like a heavy weighted plate measuring a chest in a minecart according to the sum of its contents.

Look for other "Uncle Jeff's" mods here at CurseForge. If you notice any "bugs" or conflicts (or have anything else helpful to say), then please leave a comment so I can make this and my future mods better.  :)
