1.21 Neoforge & Fabric port of the original Wandering Pets mod.
Does not follow a specific thematic focus apart from vanilla Minecraft.
Used for mods with little to no gameplay elements.
Includes new pets and tameable creatures.
A modified or ported version of an existing mod.

Description
Wandering Pets (Updated) is a fork of the original Minecraft 1.16 Forge mod, reimplemented for Minecraft 1.21+ NeoForge and Fabric, while also including a few tweaks and fixes.
This is a very simple mod that allows players to toggle the behavior of tamable mobs between following and wandering (as they'd do when not tamed), so they don't just sit down when not following the player. To use, simply Shift+Right-click your tamed mob while making sure they're standing, and they'll start wandering around.
As for cats, because they also sit on objects and sleep, there was adjustments to their behavior so they'll alternate between roaming and sometimes sitting or sleeping. You can turn this off in the configs, but that'll make the cats really sleepy.
Features
- Bugfixes, compatibilty enhancements and reimplemented for NeoForge and Fabric 1.21+
- Shift+right-click to toggle between follow and wander states
- Better cat behavior: cats alternate between sitting, sleeping, and roaming
- Mod compatibility: automatically extends support to modded entities that use vanilla behavior (i.e. FollowOwnerGoal)
Configuration
- Edit
wanderingpets-common.tomlinconfigtweak mod settings - The mod will automatically search for possibly compatible mod added entities on game load
Changelog
- 1.0 - Initial release
- 1.1 - Streamlined & enhanced compatibility with mod-added tameable mobs. (Friends & Foes, Tameable Foxes and more)
- 1.2 - Added whitelist for enabling behavior to modded mobs.
