Cottage Witch

Very poorly optimized as the majority of the people I was playing with suffered to sub 10 fps even without shaders and everything turned on low. A bunch of bugs ranging from questbook texts not being loaded properly and a very common one where you wouldn't be able to mine at all. A lot of potential for the aesthetic of the modpack but falls incredibly short right at the beginning.

I was looking for a "cozy" farming game and saw a recommendation for this modpack on Reddit. I hadn't thought of Minecraft modpacks for this purpose, but now I can't stop playing it. It's whatever game I want it to be depending on how I'm feeling at the time - farming, crafting, adventuring, decorating, collecting etc. If I ever get overwhelmed by all there is to do, the guides / achievements are a fantastic way to learn the mods and have a more structured playthrough. It's also so aesthetically pleasing - I just love being in my world. Today's adventure had me gasping in admiration at how beautiful some of the locations are. Thank you so much for this modpack, it's so beautifully and thoughtfully curated that it seems like a real labour of love.

i love this modpack SO much and the resource packs are just great, so are the mods but im just a teeny upset that it doesnt have cooking for blockheads, let's do bakery or any of the lets do stuff but thats fine :3 im just really happy cause it has farmers delight, domestication innovation & hexerei !! great modpack, i play it with my friend and they love it too !!

have adored my time with this modpack in VR: good combo of balance and fun/novelty/generosity, trifecta of ars nouveau/hexerei/create is great, world/structure gen feels cosy and consistent. there is SO MUCH content but pretty much all of it feels hand-selected for this vanilla++ context. to get it working in VR the Vivecraft installer didnt work for me (causing crashes on startup) - rather I had to install Vivecraft from the Forge launcher directly to the first 19.2 version of the modpack. the only crash ive experienced so far is when encountering the first boss of the twilight forest, which seems incompatible with Vivecraft so either avoid it or temporarily swap the Vivecraft mod out to beat it (disabling VR mode in the mod still crashes - you will have to fully remove the mod).

Playing this just makes me happy. The custom assets are great, it's a really enjoyable idea overall, and the pack seems well polished. The dev is very active and responsive as well from what I've seen.

This modpack combines tons of beautiful mods and is edited in a very chill-going and friendly way. The texture packs provided are perfect for aesthetic as well as adding atmosphere. I find the questing and progression very satisfying that I rarely find in other modpacks and the exploration is fulfilling.

I keep coming back to this modpack even after trying a bunch of other farming/building oriented modpacks and this one always sticks out as something that has a lot of care and attention put into it.

Definitely a must for people who enjoy exploration, building, magic, and farming!

I truly love this pack! It was so cozy and fun to play with a partner or even a group of friends. After playing this modpack for hours in a row I felt as if I was coming to an end with the content, only to open the quest book and find that I had barely scratched the surface!

This modpack brought back the feeling I had when I first started playing minecraft years ago. Exploring and discovering so many things. Before I knew it hours had breezed by and my first thought after closing the game for the night was, I can't wait to play again!

I love this pack so much. I haven't gotten very far in terms of progression and questing but honestly? I don't even need to. This pack is a simply a joy live inside of. The aesthetics are incredible and with all the resource packs, shaders and magical mods, it's damn beautiful, might I say even majestic (seriously, look at the screenshots I provided).

This pack is perfect to play with your significant other or a couple friends and to just chill. There is plenty of content in the quests (and all of them are very well written!) but you can spend HOURS just decorating your cottage with all sorts of witchy things from crystals, sage, hanging herbs, antique style furniture, to magical pedestals and light industrial tech such as Create, which I was confused about at first, but actually fits pretty well and is entirely optional. There's even a well written tutorial in the quests.

So, bust out the sage sticks and incense, lay out your crystals, spark up a blunt (if that's your thing, this pack is great to play while high) and load up Cottage Witch! Even if you're not a witch (or a lesbian), give this pack a try 🔮

The mix of aesthetics and exploration gameplay is great, the mod choice for world gen, and structures are phenomenal and it introduced me to many world gen and structures mods I hadn't encountered before.
I particularly appreciate the extra effort put in to all of the resource packs included in the pack!
Great for anyone looking to explore a beautiful world or get a new desktop background.
