Tired of kitchen-sinky RPG modpacks and grindy tech modpacks? Can't find a proper vanilla+ modpack that isn't just another typical collection of vanilla+ mods that are badly integrated and unconsistent? This modpack has a unique take on this genre of modpack (that is, the vague vanilla+ genre), in addition to being stricter in staying true to the vanilla style, this modpack focuses on restoring the survival challenge to the game, which has been ignored (and even harmed) with each official update, while still improving on the fun creative sandbox aspect of the game.

In a sense, this modpack tries to create what Minecraft could have been. The design choices of the modpack (though not necessarly implemented to the fullest) can be summerized in:

- focusing on the lacking and boring features and aspects of the game by giving them more purpose.
- implementing relevant features instead of bloating the pack with novelties and gimmicks.
- making sure everything fits well together and stays close to vanilla mechanics, without being too conservative.
- changing the meta, to re-create the nostalgic feeling that you get when you experience a game for the first time.
- being stingy with QOL features, they can be overpowered and spoil the feeling of reward that follows effort.
- favorising a deep experience with multi-purpose features and nifty mechanics.
- keeping the vanilla aesthetics, from low block details to rigid animations, as well as the art style.
- making survival harder and progression slower, without both being an annoyance, by the end game survival should be more relaxed, allowing the sandbox part of the game to take over

- mine copper ores and cobblestone
- find sugar cane to craft paper then a match box
