About

Description

This is a reupload of the modpack I deleted because CurseForge started Pretending it didn't exist. I've removed one of the mods because it was not balanced and was very frustrating. This is my Masterpiece, and I'm not going to let it be ruined by some glitch or slop mod.

Beds have been nerfed to only work if you're in a safe base, and the resource management has been rebalanced. Horror mobs I added include wild animals, forest spirits, dwellers, giant bugs, and zombie hordes. Halloween decorations have been added for the intrinsically motivated. The early game is really intense, and the late game revolves around the ArPhEx progression. There's also a new dimension with a new purple tree type you can unlock after defeating the warden, which you can do with the mace. There's no trial chambers, so instead you can craft the mace after defeating the Wither.

Recommended you turn down your render distance so that you can see fog.

Recommended Progression:

Objective 1: Find Shelter. Make a campfire to stay sain.

Objective 2: Find Food. You might have to survive the first night without it. You can kill piranhas for their teeth, which can be crafted into throwable daggers, which are very useful against skeletons. If you don't find any, that's okay. You don't have to worry about hunger, as food heals you like in alpha Minecraft.

Objective 3: Go caving. You're going to want copper, iron, redstone, and five diamonds. Ores only spawn in caves, so you can't cheese the early game by strip mining.

Objective 4: Build a base. The Man from the Fog can break any blocks with a harness value 2 or less, so building a metal house is recommended. Since Copper is so abundant, I would recommend making cut copper blocks with a stonecutter and building a cut copper house with iron bar windows and a piston door. You can kill the maggots that sometimes spawn when a zombie dies to get slime balls to make sticky pistons, which will make your piston door easier to build.

Objective 5: Make an enchanting room. Use three diamonds to make a diamond pickaxe to mine up some obsidian, and the other two to make the table. You can smelt rotten flesh in a furnace to get leather for books. You're going to want a Fortune III pickaxe and an Unbreaking III shield. You can kill zombie villagers for emeralds to craft a block that can store XP, and you can make a disenchanting table to move enchantments onto books. These blocks make the enchanting process easier.

Objective 6: Keep caving until you have full diamond armor and enchant it with Protection IV and Unbreaking III. There's no mending and no anvil cost limit.

Objective 7: Make your way to the end so you can get dragon's breath to make end portal frames. Very useful for leaving the crawling dimension.

Objective 8: Work your way up the ArPhEx progression until you kill the Tormentor and get full eternal armor and abyss ascendents. Don't worry about smithing templates, as they aren't required for netherite upgrades in 1.19.

ArPhEx Wiki recommended.
