Disclaimer: I will go in detail of this mod, if you've never played it install it now and play with it without any outside spoilers. This is the best herobrine related mod EVER. It stays true to the legend. It's not even a horror mod yet is way scarier than any other cave dweller clone. Herorbine here is not a monster or a supernatural entity, he just watches. Sometimes from far away, sometimes closer. If you've seen him, then he sure has seen you. You can catch him in the corner of your eye, always watching, but when you notice Herobrine, he just disappears. That's not even mentioning how he slowly reveals his presence to the player and leaves you tiny signs that something is wrong. OH AND THE WARNING WHEN ENTERING A WORLD. The warning is the most creative and well executed idea in any mod. If that's not enough you can allow Herobrine to edit your CONFIG FILES. This may not be the best minecraft mod ever, but it sure is high on the list.

As I said in the title, this is a very good and polished mod but it sadly doesn't have that much to offer. As much as I love both Hidebehind and Hirschgeist this is almost half of the mobs in this mob (which is a mob-focused mod). Moths and wisps are cool ambience but they don't do very much. I don't really know a lot about Zotzpyres and how they work. Rest of the content is not that important. I would recommend adding this mod to a modpack (especially a horror themed one) but only as a filler mod. If itsmeowdev adds more creatures like Hidebehind which is not very complicated but does it's purpose well, I'll be sure to rate this mod better

I love this mod, but only after downloading 50 more mods and spending hours editing config files. This mod is so unbalanced that the only way to get a good experience is in a professional modpack. Besides that, the aesthetics are really good.

I installed this mod after hearing about it in a textConjure video with an empty mind only to realize that THIS MOD IS AMAZING.
Gameplay:
It really brings a new feel to minecraft, with every biome having something new to offer and every night being even more dangerous. This mod made me feel weak and scared again. Leaving the house you don't know if you'll return. Despite that, it's really balanced. As I said earlier, leaving your comfort place is risky, but the risk is easy to avoid. Most of the mobs have unique mechanics making dealing with them not "attack, defend, repeat". The player has to learn how each enemy works. By rushing to fight without a plan you won't do anything, but with only a slight knowledge about your enemies fighting them becomes way more fun.
Aesthetics:
This mod just looks good and that's all I can say. Where this mod shines the most is not in how mobs look, but in how they make you feel. Nights are way more climactic. As I wrote before, this mod made me feel like a little kid playing minecraft for the first time again.
Performance and stability:
I haven't yet encountered any glitches or fps drops. Another huge thing is that both 1.12.2 and 1.16.5 versions are supported and have a similar amount of content.

Rlcraft is known for being hard and unforgiving but what if we try to look past that? Rlcraft's progress is really good, giving you a ton of space for your own ideas and playstyles. However it's more recommended to play most of these mods only in custom modpacks or modpacks made around them. Rlcraft is just crammed with way too much content.

This mod is just perfect. It changed my life. What can I even start with? The mobs are the best designs of extinct animals in every mod and maybe even paleo media in general. Every detail of this mod is polished as much as possible. It does every animal justice and that's only the paleontology side, don't get me started on the archaeology. Every stone tablet tells a small piece from a greater story that you as the player can build from. It even let's you fight the god of nether. Simply amazing. I almost forgot to mention how this mod has custom compatibility with things like Pam's harvest craft, JEI, tinker's construct and many more. Simply amazing.
