Description
Bed Anchor
Keep your bed as your respawn point even after it's gone.
Ever broken your bed after sleeping in it, then died somewhere far from home, only to be sent all the way back to your original world spawn? Bed Anchor fixes that.
With this mod, your last valid bed remains your respawn point no matter what happens to it afterward broken, burned, exploded, or simply gone. You'll always respawn right where your bed used to be, instead of getting teleported back to the world spawn.
Features
- Your respawn point sticks to your last bed, even after it's destroyed
- Sleeping in a new bed overwrites the old one, just like vanilla
- If your bed is still intact, vanilla behavior is untouched — this mod only steps in when it would normally fail
- A subtle sound effect plays when you're anchored back to your old bed spot
- Lightweight, server-side logic, no config needed
How it works
Vanilla Minecraft normally invalidates your spawnpoint the moment your bed is missing or obstructed, sending you back to the world spawn. Bed Anchor keeps track of the last bed you actually slept in and, only when vanilla would otherwise fail to respawn you there, brings you back to that exact spot instead.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge
- Works in singleplayer and multiplayer
Notes
This mod does not add any new items, blocks, or config screens it's a small, focused fix to a long-standing vanilla annoyance.
