A beautifully well-rounded kitchen-sink modpack that will leave you with giant painstaking factories trying to automate wrenches and pens. The main focus of the current state of the modpack is Create, Immersive, and Botania, with many more mods to be fully integrated. So far, only chapters 0 and 1 are fully in the game (actually about to have a big rework) but the content that this modpack holds will keep you for hours trying to automate what you can. This is the first modpack I have ever gotten on the Discord for, and the amount that we will be getting in the future is intense. But for now, I highly recommend hopping on this modpack even when it's mostly unknown. If you love tech and big progression lines, this will be your next favorite modpack.

I've always thought expert modpacks were interesting, but Compression is my first time playing one. I think the creators have done an amazing job of enhancing the player experience, like starting off with additional speed and jump height, and making it easy to find different biomes. This really lets you focus on the automation aspect, rather than having to constantly put that on hold to go find specific resources.

This pack has a strong sense of identity, immediately establishing the lore of the world and hinting at hidden secrets. I'm excited to see how this develops as the pack updates.

My favorite thing though is that a lot of time and attention is put into all of the manufacturing processes. As someone very interested in chemistry, but with no real education beyond an AA degree, I'm learning a lot just by googling some of the items and reading up on how these materials are made IRL.

I'm loving following along with the development of the pack, and I'm excited to learn some new mods as they get implemented into the progression.

About

Description

Allows a player to compress all normal blocks (cobble, grass, stone, etc.) and any non-data item (apples, sticks, diamonds, etc.) into large stacks. You can use these stacks much like normal blocks. Once each stack gets large enough, certain effects kick in. Some can become black holes sucking in all items they are like, much like a magnet for a specific item. Great for large storage.

Use the Compressor and Decompressor to compress/decompress your favorite annoying blocks. This takes time, so automation is recommended. These values are, however, configurable. Have fun!

Please note; this is a low-priority side project for me. If there are major bugs, please post them at https://github.com/TheTemportalist/Compression/issues. Otherwise, feature requests will be handled as I have time.
