Controlling is one of the best mods ever developed for large modpacks. It gives players the ability to search through the keybinds menu, sorting by key or category. Takes keybinding, which is normally a pain, and turns it into something fairly pleasant!

This mod is essential when playing with large mods with many controls. Being able to easily search for controls is amazing, and being able to see all the things bound to the same key is also incredibly useful.

This mod is just an all around useful clientside utility and I routinely find myself adding it to packs I want to play so I can more easily configure my keybinds at the start of the pack!

There's no reason to not include this mod in any pack.

This mod adds exactly one thing, like it's name. A better control for your keybinds. They did it by simply adding a search bar that allows you to search for keybinds. You can also search by category (modname), by keys, or just by name of the action if you want it filtered better. I rated it with gameplay cus many modpacks that has 1000 smth keybinds or has 300+ mods are simply unplayable without this mod, it's just that helpful of a mod, ridiculuously helpful. Aesthetically it does what it does best too, UI is clear, UX feels good atleast from my experience, literally just a search bar and you can still manually scroll your whole keybind page. No effect on performance too obviously. Must have for your modpacks, doesn't matter if it's just Vanilla+ or the second coming of GTNH, this is one of the best mod to exist.

If you only have a few mods with one or two overlapping keybinds, you'll be fine without. But most of the time you'll want some way to search keybinds so you can actually use mods properly. If a pack doesn't have this for some reason, I highly recommend downloading it!

Overview

This mod is one of those that you don't even think about installing, you just install it. You make you new instance, go to add mods and just hit install. You don't think is this mod good? Do I need it? What does this do? You just install it.

And it works. It works great.

Does exactly what it says it does and it does it perfectly.

Controlling is 100% a requirement of modding as every mod seems to have controls that conflicts with everyone else. The ability to easily search and manage conflicts is indispensible for speedrun correcting weird overlaps. A must-have, 10/10.

When you play with multiple mods it's normal to have Keybind conflict.

Description

Adds the ability to search for keybinds using their name in the KeyBinding menu, this allows players to easily find a key binding in the menu.

Adds a button that will only show KeyBindings that conflict with each other, which makes it easier to fix them.

You also have the ability to see what keys are available to be bound.

Here is an example for 1.16 and above:
