Description
An addon for Hex Casting about attachment, jealousy, vows, and what a world does when you have been kind to it.
Fourteen new patterns, and everything that grows out of them: charmed beasts that follow you into a fight, jealous guards, marriages sealed at an altar, offspring that should not exist, and a world that slowly learns to answer.

Feelings live on the creature itself, not in a list somewhere on the server. A bond survives chunk unloads, restarts, dimension changes, and being picked up and carried across the map.
Love is not a command
A charmed creature is not a puppet.
It goes to the one it loves. It steps into a fight that one is actually in, and drops the grudge when the chase carries it too far from home. It cannot bring itself to land a deliberate blow on the one it loves - and neither can that creature's rivals, its owner's pets, or a spouse.
It will not protect anyone from gravity, lava, a creeper or a stray arrow. The world is still the world.
And every strong bond has an answer. Heartbreak ends everything a creature feels and closes its heart for a while. Grief only closes the door outward: the heartbroken can still be adored and still be guarded. They simply cannot love back.
The patterns
Two of them are Great Spells, with a shape that is different in every world.
Cupid's Charm (Great Spell) - ties one heart to another. Strength of feeling decides how long it holds, how stubborn a heart it can reach, and whether it ever lets go.
Succubus' Tithe (Great Spell) - takes health from everything that loves you and returns it to you as healing. A lover too far away, asleep in another world, or simply not loaded still owes its share, and pays when it next turns up.
Blinding Jealousy - sets one creature to guard another and resent everybody else.
Siren's Song - draws a creature towards whoever called it. Players are drawn too, and cannot look away from the voice.
Phantom Ideal - a transparent rose image of the caster, standing where you put it. Every unbound creature nearby forgets its target and walks towards it.
Pheromone Mist - a sphere of pale pink perfume. Hostile creatures inside it go quiet, until the first one of them is hurt.
Heartbreak - the only way out of a charm, your own included.
Soulbind - wakes a ring and writes a player's name into it.
Breath Exchange - two vowed souls trade one breath: every status effect, and their hunger with it. Across worlds, if need be.
Animal Passion, Matchmaker Purification, Weaver's Purification, Heart's Purification, Heart's Reflection - the small utility patterns that make everything above readable and controllable.
Courtship, and what comes of it
Charm two grown animals of the same kind and they will court and bear a litter, the ordinary way.
Charm two of different kinds and you get one Chimera: a creature with a blended pedigree, whose size and constitution are inherited, so no two are quite alike. It walks on three legs and a fourth that hangs. It hunts pigs, cows and sheep, and a grown one will occasionally look at a player instead.

Rings and vows
A Soulbound Ring is a personal talisman. Woken by Soulbind, it takes your name and a colour of its own.
Two woken rings, two owners standing quietly at a Vow Altar, and the altar writes each of them into the other. The two colours merge into a single moving gradient that runs across the ring's lit facets.

While both spouses carry their rings, neither heart can be turned by anyone else, their pets stop fighting, they share one widened casting ambit, and harm done to one is carried in part by the other.
Keepsakes
Things worth building around: Amethyst Rose, Dandelion and Tulip - glowing crystal flowers, each shedding motes of its own colour. Amethyst Heart - a crystal reliquary that catches traces of love-media whenever animals breed near it. Candles of Infatuation - bright pink crystalline candles that make this addon's magic cheaper to work beside.

The Heart of the World
Somewhere past all of that is an altar that listens to kindness done in the world.
Build its courtyard correctly and it wakes: the facets begin to shift, and colour drifts up off the heart at its top. Attune your ring to it - a rite of its own, and not a marriage - and from then on the world quietly keeps count. Killing what preys on people, seeing animals fed and born, taming, trading: all of it accrues, and a spouse shares in what you earn.

The charge can be spent to condense Crystallized Affection, and a crystal can be broken open. What the world offers back varies. Most days it is small - a shard, some flowers, a little warmth. Sometimes it is a handful of things out of old, forgotten vaults. And very rarely the world hands over something an Author left sealed: a Focus already carrying a finished work, and the grimoire that explains it.
The book
Everything above is documented in the Hex Casting book itself - one spread per pattern, plus entries on the keepsakes, the vows, the Chimera and the altar. Available in English and Russian.
Read the web version of the book here.
Twenty-two advancements track the path from your first amethyst flower to the Author's sealed legacy.
Compatibility
- Carry On - picking a creature up is not counted as its death. Bonds, jealousy and courtship all survive the trip.
- Trinkets (Fabric) / Curios (Forge) - the ring can be worn in a proper accessory slot.
All optional. Without them, nothing here stops working.
