Description

This mod adds a range of survival elements and effects to the game, designed to increase the difficulty of the game.

It is a dependency to the Zombie Survival Kit version 2.0.0 and above, but can also be used on its own.

The main features added by the mod are the six systems of Infection, Injury, Decay, Rust, Sound Following and Locked. The specifics of each system can be configured specifically in the configuration file.

Besides, a series of potion effects have been added to the module, some of which can be combined to create new effects.

  • Infection System: Melee attacks by undead creatures or the use of polluted items will have a certain chance to cause the player to gain an infection value, too high an infection value will give the player a debuff or even death. Only special medicines can reduce or cure the infection. Additionally, armor value reduces the amount of infections a player gains, and armor toughness increases the player's probability of resisting infections. The rest of the creatures can be configured so that they can be infected, and when infected above a certain value they will turn into a specific infected creature upon death.
  • Injury System: In addition to deducting life points, taking damage also causes injury that bleed the player. The more damage you take at once, the worse the injury will be. Small injury can heal slowly over time, but injury that are too severe will get worse if left untreated. The loss of blood will weaken the player and even attract undeads. Therefore, injury need to be treated promptly with medical supplies.
  • Rot System: Food will slowly decay over time, with configurable decay rates for each food type and for food in various storage blocks. And compared to traditional decay-based mods, the module implements stackable decayed food, similar to Don't Starve, where the mod automatically averages the decay according to the amount of food with different levels of decay when they are stacked together. (Rot stack is compatible with Traveler's Backpack, but for other backpack mod, it's best to turn off the rot stack in config)
  • Rust system: Iron weapons, tools and armor will gradually rust with the number of times they are used. Rusted tools reduce attack damage and digging speed, while armor reduces attack speed, so they need to be removed from rust or waxed to prevent rust on a regular basis. Specific rust items and items that can be used to remove and prevent rust can be configured.
  • Sound System: Creatures receive an attraction to sound like a Warden. Which creatures are attracted to sound and the approximate distance at which each sound attracts creatures is configurable. By default all undead creatures are attracted. (This system is compatible with Tacz and SBW)
  • Locking system: Loot chests will be locked at some point during generation, and locked chests will not drop any items when destroyed, nor can they be "stolen" by hoppers. Locked chests can be opened with a specific item, and it is configurable which items can be pried open and which loot chests with loot tables will be locked. (This system is compatible with Lootr)

You can add it to the mod pack.

The remaining versions will be updated after the development of Zombie Survival Kit 2.0.0 is complete.
