Aquarius Libs and Pisces Libs needs to be installed for this mod to work!

Weapons of Rome adds 9 new weapon types that were used in the Ancient Roman Empire.

The items can be crafted from wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond and can be upgraded into netherite weapons.

Fuscina:

A three-pronged trident used in ancient Rome both as a traditional fishing tool and as a specialized weapon in gladiatorial combat.

A same damage as the vanilla sword and same speed as the trident, also gets an interaction range bonus (+1)(+ trident enchantments)

 fuscina-recipe.gif

Gladius:

The iconic short sword used by legionaries primarily for stabbing in close-quarters combat.

A bit weaker, but faster then then the default sword.

 gladius-recipe.gif

Pilum:

A javelin commonly used by the Roman army in ancient times.

It bent upon impact into enemy shields to make them too heavy to use.

Not strong and slow like the trident, but the target drops their shield on hit, also gets an interaction range bonus (+1)(+ trident enchantments)

Plumbata:

Throwing darts that were carried inside the reverse of a soldier's shield and were used to inflict damage on enemies at a distance before engaging in close combat.

Weak, but is a ranged weapon that is stackable.

Pugio:

A heavy dagger carried on a soldier's belt. It acted as a utility tool or a fallback weapon of last resort during chaotic melees.

Low Damage, but fast.

Scissor:

Designed for close-range combat, an extraordinarily rare and specialized weapon used by a distinct class of Roman gladiator of the same name.

It is weak, but fast.

Scutum:

A giant shield that can also attack with its hard center made from hard material.

Weak and slow, but can block attacks(from 75-100%)

Sica:

A curved short sword or large dagger of ancient Illyrians, Thracians, and Dacians

and it was also used in ancient Rome favored by specialized Thraex gladiators to reach around enemy shields.

Low damage, fast and can disable shields on hit.

Spatha:

A longer sword originally used by cavalry, which eventually replaced the shorter gladius in the later Roman infantry.

A bit stronger then the vanilla sword, but also slower.

(The weapons description is taken from wikipedia and other places as a quick notice about them)

The main goal of the mod is to have more weapon variants, not to add overpowered items.

Currently supports forge, fabric and neoforge 1.21.9 - 1.21.11, 26.x.

Versions below 1.21.9. are not supported.
