Clearly very well made and thought-through. I am early on in the pack, but I've been watching and/or playing modded Minecraft for over a decade now and this is of the highest quality. I really enjoy the mixture of tech and adventure, as well as the cool environments. I hope to play this pack some more, and probably will primarily play this pack whenever I play modded. It is very large though lol so I don't know if I'll ever complete it, but I'm glad there will always be things to do. I look forward to more updates and seeing where the pack goes, and hope it becomes more popular.

Meatballcraft is an ultra expert (GTNH, DJ2 tier) pack and one of the few packs I've ever seen to demand that you do everything. It is a 1000+ hour pack that expects you to automate everything possible to automate, with some Modular Machinery to help where you can't.

Strengths:
Breadth - when I said you do everything, I meant it. Nuclearcraft underhaul Molten Salt Reactors, bees, trees, Bewitchment, all of it.
Lore - How often do ultra expert packs write full lore around the world and progression?
Custom Content - the dev has added immense amounts of custom content. Puzzles, new structures, new dimensions, custom weapons, and more.
Documentation: MANY mechanics from many mods are explained in game in JEI toolips or tabs, even sometimes where ingame documentation (Lexica Botania, Sanguine Scientiam, Thaumonomicon, etc) exist.
Combat - Combat in this pack is heavily rebalanced. You can very easily get 30 damage swords in a variety of ways fairly early and other methods of dealing damage are very strong, but you're never overpowered. Mobs scale as you progress, bosses have more hp and armor and hit harder, etc.
The Dev Himself - Sainagh is VERY involved and very invested in creating new content. He is very receptive to feedback and suggestions and the pack's rough spots have been smoothed out a lot through playtesting.
Balance: Combat, crafting costs, and crafting chains are very well balanced. The pack presents a challenge at all points and offers the option to play and build how you want, as opposed to strictly following a quest lined progression. In the later chapters with more custom content, the content ends up more linear, but still has room for flexibility and variety in how you play.

Weaknesses:
Length - this is a 1000+ hour pack. It is VERY easy to burn out on. The bulk of the content STARTS where a lot of expert packs end, and you won't have reached anything from Advent of Ascension, Draconic Evolution, Nuclearcraft, or dozens of other mods.
Stability - for the scale of the pack and how much is in it, it runs EXCELLENTLY. However, with a pack as large, long, and complex as this? Your base will eventually grow into a server crushing behemoth. TPS management is critical from minute 0 so that you don't have to rebuild things. This isn't a pack that can be hosted on a public server for anyone to play.
Documentation: EVERYTHING is explained. It gets excessive, especially for an ultra-expert pack like this. Generally, you'd expect the target audience of an ultra-expert pack to come in with solid background knowledge of modded Minecraft, where knowledge of AE2 and Botania rune crafting are commonplace.
Balance: Meatballcraft hands you ProjectE in the first chapter, 50 hours or less, I'd wager. Some people may not like this. This pack is not one where vast quantities of resources are the struggle, but rather where automation and progression require complex chains and new mechanics. This is not for everyone.

All in all, it's a very strong modpack that hopefully has sticking power and appeal well above its current playerbase. The pack's content is very highly polished and the depth of content should present a pack that's challenging enough to attract the most seasoned and jaded players.

Played most of the way through chapter two and had a blast. I think it would be a great modpack to play with one or two other people because it has a lot of variety. I highly recommend this to anyone interested

Generally, this pack follows a stable progression line but there are jumps such as from chapters 8-9 and chapters 3-4.

The aesthetics of the pack are what you would expect from the average Minecraft pack with a pixel art style and somewhat simple design.

The performance and stability really depend on your computer, The minimum specs I would say for this pack to run smoothly all the way through the pack you would need a Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 with at least 8 GB RAM dedicated.

Originally i wasn't planning on playing any of expert modpacks, but meatballcraft caught my attention, the fact that Advanced Rocketry is in this modpack already makes me want to play it so that i can get to the endgame, i only started playing but i am liking it a lot... sure hope i wont change my mind once i get to something like... chapter 3? 4? 5??? yeeaaah it will be fineee. i love meatballcraft and cant wait to dive right into it's eternal abyss that is 9 chapters of hell... or was it 10? i love the suffering and pain that this modpack will surely give me at some point! while loading the modpack takes me quite some time, it runs at 50-60 fps in early game

MeatballCraft's Dimensional Ascension is one wild ride of a modpack, blending the intricate machinery of Enigmatica with the bold spirit of Hexxit. And I found it only after stumbling upon some shitposts on Reddit by the mod's creator, Sainagh.

Premise
The game starts with you, a scientist, getting sucked into the Overworld right in the middle of a turf war between two monstrous factions. Your mission: explore other dimensions, take down the leaders of these warring factions, and become a god-like master of the universe. The 250-hour-long progression is packed with surprises, but I won't spoil the details for you. Suffice it to say that the mid-game planet, Sedna, is like the holy grail that every player wants but few can attain.

Early Game
The early game is not your typical Minecraft fare, with hostile mobs lurking in broad daylight and intricate crafting chains to manage. But with a little grit and a lot of help from a well-written questbook, you can get your hands on some serious power within hours of starting.

Exploration
And speaking of power, exploration is where MeatballCraft truly shines. You'll soar through a wide array of biomes, taking down evil wizards and shoggoths with shurikens, and looting one battle tower after another. But the true joys lie in the custom structures and cool dimensions that the mod's creator has peppered throughout the game. And with the Slimesling and Player Launcher tools, even covering thousands of blocks in search of the next ruined fortress is a breeze.

Technology
Of course, tech is a central focus of MeatballCraft. It's marketed as "dimensional GregTech," and it lives up to that claim with gusto. The crafting recipes quickly get complicated and interdependent, requiring you to master Thaumcraft, Astral Sorcery, EnderIO, and Thermal Expansion just to make it to the mid-game.

Visual Style
Visually, the modpack is a bit of a mishmash, drawing heavily on DivineRPG and Advent of Ascension. The cartoonish look of many of the enemies and items can clash with the aesthetics of grittier-looking mods like EnderIO, but it's a minor quibble.

Performance
Be warned: you'll need to assign at least 8 GB of RAM to the game, and exploring too far from spawn can cause lag and freezes. But with over 250 mods in the mix, including magic, tech, addons, and performance enhancers, it's a small price to pay for such a sprawling and engaging experience.

Conclusion
Overall, MeatballCraft is a labor of love by its creator, and it shows. Despite the performance issues, I found myself hooked on this modpack, and eagerly await each new update to see what new wonders await.

This modpack is just fantastic. I've been playing it for a month or so now, dropped a hundred or so hours into it already. Everything about it just shows effort by the creator. Every part of this modpack is so fun, and so very thorough. Its also super hard. Should be called Oh my lord craft for every time i look up how to craft smth.

I have been playing MeatballCraft for a while and so far its been great fun, it provides a great mix between magic mods such as Thaumcraft, Blood magic, Astral sorcery. Or tech mods like the Thermal series, tech reborn etc. while also having alot of exploration with Advent of Ascension.

The Aesthetics of the pack are a bit mixed because it has so many mods but the custom content usually has nice textures.

The community is great and helpfull and the developer regularly interacts with the community.

The performance of the pack is mixed because of how big it is but generally its pretty optimized

I have been playing the pack since version 0.11.2. Love how the pack tells a unique story instead of just generic quests to guide the player. More than a dozen of cool multiblocks. Properly gated progression (ProjectE done right).
Forces the player to be creative in automating production. Tons of custom structures that fill all the dimensions.

Amazing discord community that helps a lot. The author constantly adds new custom stuff and fixes the bugs asap. The performance has greatly improved compared to the earlier days but not recommended for potato PCs.

Would 10/10 recommend this if you like a long term modpack with tech, magic, quests and custom content.
