Description
DISCLAIMER: The original mod DragonMine Z: Living World has been discontinued by it's author, and claiming that anyone that finds the source code can continue it and improve it, and that's what this mod is, an unoficial continuation of the original mod! Here is what this mod says it brings, along with new changes I made:
DragonMine Z: Living World RENEWED
Turn Dragon Mine Z into a world that remembers.
Living World adds persistent fighters, evolving relationships, factions, rivalries, equipment, goals, and history around Dragon Mine Z's existing combat and progression systems.
🧑 Persistent Fighters
Fighters can become recurring characters with their own power, personality, combat style, equipment, techniques, goals, relationships and battle history.
⚔️ Native DMZ Combat & Progression
Living World fighters use Dragon Mine Z's real combat systems: melee, Ki attacks, DEFENSE, flight, transformations, racial progression, training and native equipment. ADDED: Now, the progress they make is relative to your SAGA QUEST CONFIGURATION, meaning they will neve be stronger than what your modpack determines the story to be! (not compatible with custom sagas, only base sagas from DMZ from Saiyan up until Battle of Gods).
🤝 Relationships & Rivalries
Repeated encounters can develop into friendships, rivalries, mentorships, students and companions. Rivals can continue growing after surviving battles with you.
🗡️ Equipment & Inheritance
Fighters can own, use, recover and inherit real Dragon Mine Z equipment, including armor, Blaster Cannons and swords. Important weapons can pass between different owners throughout your world.
🥋 Technique Lineage
Fighters can learn real Dragon Mine Z techniques from mentors and other warriors, with the mod remembering who taught whom.
🎯 Individual Goals
Fighters pursue practical goals such as learning a technique, defeating a rival, obtaining equipment, learning flight or beating stronger opponents.
📖 Living History
Major victories, rival battles, techniques, mentorship, equipment inheritance, fusion, progression and deaths become part of each fighter's persistent story. ADDED: Fusion with NPCs have a special comat with "DragonMineZ: Overhaul" if installed!
🌍 Dynamic World Activity
Encounter wandering warriors, factions, patrols, training groups, wanted fighters, conflicts and Guardian Corps responses while exploring. ADDED: You can now configure the dimensions the Fighters can spawn in! Meaning if you for example use the mod "dmzplus", you can configure these fighters to spawn on their planets! (can't sepparate for only selected races per planet still, will be working on that)
🔍 Fighter Profiles
Shift + Right-click a Living World fighter to view their relationships, goal, equipment, techniques and history. Shift + Right-click with a Dragon Mine Z Scouter for additional combat information.
📚 In-Game Guide
Press L to open the Living World interface and select Guide for a player-facing explanation of fighters, relationships, combat and growth, techniques, equipment, goals, factions, history, controls and integrations. You can also open it directly with /livingworld guide.
⚙️ Per-World Settings
Open L → Settings to tune Living World for the current save. World hosts/server operators can change the natural activity preset, nearby fighter and hostile caps, faction encounters, dynamic encounters, returning fighters and automatic power sensing. The defaults preserve the intended Living World experience, and the settings are stored per world in serverconfig/dmzlivingworld-server.toml.
NEW STUFF FROM RENEWED:
- Your Aligment matters on interacting with NPCs. no more you'll be able to have a nice chat with a hero if you're a villain!
- Namekians can now assimilate other fighters from the namekian race by 2 different methods: The normal one where you lower their HP and assimilate them, and the other where you build enought trust with them and is able to assimilate with them even if they are not one tap away from death, and that will give you 5 times more bonus than a normal assimilation would! (compatible with dmz
- Female majin fighters now have hair (lol)
- each and every arquetype from the fighters are configurable to determine how much of their "total stat calculated" they'll distribute on all their stats (I recommend you always make the sum od them result in 100% for balance)
- Their BP now matches correctly their stats based on the current BP calculation of the world (be it main DMZ, overhaul's custom BP calculation or another form of BP calculation change (probably))
- compat with Guard Villagers so they don't attack each other
- The races transformations now uses the configured multipliers for the player transformations, making a SSJ NPC have around the same power as a player SSJ
- Fighters cannot attack and focus on you while you are creating your character
- Good fighters that die are sent to King Kai's Plannet and will stay there until revived with the dragon balls (max of 5 fighters can spawn there at a time). If you have dmzplus hell system enabled, Evil Fighters that die will begin spawning on the Nether until revived with the dragon balls
- LOTS of optmizations for the code to make it MUCH less demanding (at least as much as possible)
In it's ORIGINAL development, AI was used for most of the code and on generating resources, but the resourses are planned to be replaced by real textures not AI generated! (anyone that wants to help, the source code of this mod is available and any changes that benefits are welcome!)
Living World is an unofficial addon for Dragon Mine Z and is not affiliated with the Dragon Mine Z development team. Dragon Mine Z remains the work of its respective developers and contributors.
