Just really fun lore and gameplay interactions, dislike most of the mods apart but together with the lore it's great. Quest book well written with lore explaining the mechanics of the modpack.

Only real problem with it is no performance mod added to the modpack.

Really makes your builds feel magical, the crafting recipes may not be the most intuitive at first, and there are some features like twinkling that aren't really explained, but I think the recipes make up for it by being fun and adding a lot of charm to the mod.
The mod is surprisingly versatile, it's more then just night lights, but hanging chevrons, or just the empty hanging strings can add a lot to a build and fit with a variety of aesthetics.
Super customizable and fun to use, highly recommend.

This modpack is just fantastic. I've been playing it for a month or so now, dropped a hundred or so hours into it already. Everything about it just shows effort by the creator. Every part of this modpack is so fun, and so very thorough. Its also super hard. Should be called Oh my lord craft for every time i look up how to craft smth.

It's Startrek in Minecraft, what's not to like? You can build spaceships and physically fly them (ok it's more like jumping) around space and land on other dimensions.
More of a pack utility than a plug and play mod, since you have to set up the configs for space and planet mapping yourself.
Only downside is that certain things like unusually coded blocks, multiblocks, etc often are not supported. Best case scenario, they break every jump and have to be reassembled/ or placed again. Worst case, your world gets corrupted. Rotating your ship is a bit iffy at times too, and has even less support for modded blocks. Best to test blocks on a superflat test world, and never rotate your ship when jumping. But otherwise a really freaking cool mod.

Alchemistry is one of my favorite mods. If you like chemistry like me, then this mod is loads of fun. On its own it doesn't do much, but in a modpack can be configured for all sorts of custom progression and research. The default conversions/ recipes are a little OP in some cases, but with some adjustment (like drastically increasing the amount of chemical needed to craft something, and some recipe edits, because being able to craft thousands of ingots from a small vegetable farm is a little.... ya) this totally fits into a pack that is heavy on science and material synthesis.
The best part is, it's 100% configurable. If you don't need a specific element or compound, you can just remove it. And my favorite part is that you can add your own compounds and elements, so you can add just the compounds you need, or even create fictional elements and compounds to fit your pack (a bit of a time consuming pain to create ones that would realistically work and chemically make sense at least a little, but that just makes it all the more awesome).

It's a pack with general progression starting on a wasteland overworld where you have to build a rocket and travel to several planets to look for parts to upgrade your ship. Also Ratlantis.
It has a lot of gun mods but techguns is my favorite out of them. It also has Immersive Vehicles if you like roleplay or impractical, clunky transport (its fun to play with though). I also like rats and this pack implements it pretty well. A lot of my fun came from gathering a rat family and building a home for them, trying to get them to work with other mods (varied success), using them for combat, and anything else I could think of. There's also personal favorites like the portal gun and inventory pets that can only be found in airdrops, which is pretty cool.
Almost none of the recipes are configured so a lot of overpowered stuff is available at the start. There's barely any challenge after a certain point, so a lot of progression is merely searching dungeons on different planets to upgrade your rocket.
It's slightly specific, but if you like kitchen sink packs with guns and space, then this is a great choice.

This modpack is one of the best quest modpacks I played. It is a total conversation project but unlike TFC, it doesn't reimplement survival but makes for an entirely new genre. It has tons of mods and custom content with a very detailed quest book guiding you through the pack.

In the begining of the midgame, the game becomes quite grindy for a short period since you heavily rely on mystical agriculture in order to progress.

The pack is suitable for multiplayer as we had an anarchy server up and running with it for a long time.

I've been playing this modpack for a few weeks now, and I've been having a blast. Terraria has always been one of my favorite games ever, and this modpack really gives a terrarian sense of progression to the game and your world. Bosses are cool, enemies are unique, and progressing just feels so good. Exploring caves is awesome, but also makes it so the modpack is so much better with friends. You'll end up getting mobbed by tons of monsters, which can make caving hard, and sometimes a bit tedious when you just wanna mine ores but you've gotta fight goblins every 15 seconds, but it's not terrible, if you just sprint around torching up the caves, then kill everything, you'll have some time to mine. It can get similarly rough on the surface, especially at night, but if you design a good enough base you'll be fine. Do NOT skimp out on proper base defenses, especially as you progress, because mobs will tear your base apart if it's not properly fortified. The music in the pack is great, except I hate the creepy piano music it plays in the mines, very spooky. The only reason I can't give it 5/5 right now is the bugs. Some things just don't work as intended, which can hamper the playing experience just a bit, but it never outright breaks the game (at least not for me, yet). I recommend turning commands on in your world just-in-case (I had an invasion that lasted a full in-game week till I just had to use the command that forcibly ends it).
Overall, great modpack, tons of fun, but I strongly recommend playing with a friend. And take your time! Don't try and rush to the next stage, the more time you spend fortifying, the better off you'll be when things start getting crazy.

The progression is pretty rigid but the the challenges are unique and rewarding.
It's about automating everything from the get go. At the start you're limited to andesite components from create which creates a fun challenge. The chapters are not too long so that the limitations are not too annoying. There was only one thing I didn't like - the end game, as at least at the time I was playing, the rocket mod was a bit unstable, unintuitive and felt a bit off.
