This modpack really stands out for its atmosphere: the cities and buildings, the climate/temperature system create an immersion that few zombie packs manage to pull off. The progression system rewards players who enjoy automation and building, though it can feel overwhelming if you come in with no prior experience with those mods.
I'd recommend starting with a "scouting" run to understand the quest book before committing to a definitive world.
Performance is pretty solid for what it offers.

This mod is definitely the best; I find it very well balanced. Its backpacks have a lot of customization, and in general, whenever the two-week Minecraft phase comes around and we have to set up a server, my friends always ask me to add it to the modpack.

In my opinion, this mod is fantastic; it's super complete, like almost all of Alex's mods, really. The dragons are really cool, although a pain in the ***. The nagas are too easy, but it's still fun. Overall, it's a great mod that's a lot of fun.

It's my favorite animal mod (and I'd say many people's too). It brings tons of animals to life, each with its own unique mechanics. It's very comprehensive; in my opinion, nothing else comes close.

I absolutely love this mod; the magic system and exploration are insane.
The mod itself forces you to explore if you want to get the most out of the magic system. Both the schools and the spells are very well designed, and the enemies look fantastic. Whenever I can, I add it to the annual server.

This mod is fantastic; it'll keep you entertained for hours. The only downside is that if you don't add extra difficulty with other mods, there's really no real challenge, but overall it's good. I put it on a server two years ago, and people got way too overpowered.
