Description

I have implemented Genshin Impact-style elemental reaction mechanics in the Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks mod.

The mod currently integrates with: T.O Magic 'n Extras, Alshanex's Familiars, GTBC's Geomancy Plus, Mechanicraft, Cataclysm: Spellbooks, Apprentice's Codex, and Wind's Spellbooks.

Regarding reaction design: the 9 base schools + T.O Magic "are designed by first conceptualizing each school's core identity, then combining them in pairs." Some interactions (e.g., Burning) are inspired by the source material with slight twists.

Other add-ons like Familiars, Wind's Spellbooks, and Geomancy Plus draw inspiration from Anemo, Geo, etc. — meaning they can only trigger a single type of elemental reaction, with some personal interpretation added.

【General Design Concepts】
- Fire: damage amplification
- Ice: speed reduction
- Lightning: area damage
- Ender: attribute reduction
- Holy: healing / undead specialization
- Blood: grievous wounds / self-healing
- Nature: debuffs
- Evocation: temporary casting stat boost
- Eldritch: temporary spell power boost
- Familiars (Alshanex): self & minion buffs
- Geomancy (GTBC): shields
- Abyssal (Cataclysm: Spellbooks): damage over time (Tidal Claw)
- Mechanicraft: initially planned as "homing lock-on", but that was too abstract to integrate, so changed to vulnerability & damage reduction.
- Wind (Wind's Spellbooks): the classic "Swirl" (elemental spread).
