Concatenation is one of the most impressive large-scale progression packs I’ve played in a long time. It does a great job of giving the player freedom while still having a clear direction through its tarot-based progression system. The four starting paths make the early game feel fresh, and each one gives you a different way to approach the pack instead of forcing everyone down the same route.

The quest book is huge and actually helpful, not just a checklist. It guides you without completely holding your hand, which makes progression feel rewarding. I also really like how tech, magic, automation, exploration, and custom recipes all tie together instead of feeling like a random pile of mods thrown into one pack.

The pack is definitely big, so performance can depend on your system, but for what it offers, it feels worth it. Concatenation has a strong identity, a lot of content, and a progression style that makes it stand out from most kitchen-sink packs.

Overall, this is a great modpack for anyone who likes long-term progression, quests, automation, magic, and having multiple paths to build toward something bigger. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Probably one of my favorite modpacks, right after stoneblock 2. Very active devs to answer questions, regular updates, extremely well balanced progression.
Incredible amount of custom recipes, unique progression.
Very well optimized, runs very well with the recommended java arguments, on my somewhat decent pc with DH and shaders.

ughh this modpack is ***!!! the amount of build customization with the various skill trees means there's DOZENS of different builds with unique playstyles (give me a single skill tree with basic +1 dmg nodes or i retire), the weapon progression is INTRICATE AND SATISFYING and lets you progress the weapon you start with TILL THE END OF THE GAME (terrifying i know), the mobs are DIFFICULT and have the capability of spell casting as well as having truly modular gear meaning that they are ACTUALLY A THREAT (we ALL love mobs that just walk up to you and punch you, very fun gameplay), there's DIFFICULTY MODIFIERS??!? (in my house we have 3 options, peaceful, normal, and hard) and to top off this HORRIBLE TERRIBLE modpack there is a large quest tree with multiple branching paths and bosses to fight and things to do (WHERES MY COLLECT 12 LOGS QUEST?!?)

overall i give this modpack a FIVE out of FIVE because while playing i popped FIVE blood vessels from how much i HATE this modpack

This mod is genuinely just mandatory for any modpack ever. I can't play vanilla Minecraft ever again because of this mod. You will find yourself struggling hard against the inventory management of vanilla MC without the ability to move and sort items the way you can with this mod.

The original stoneblock is a very nostalgic experience for me. Modpacks from this era feel a little less fine tuned than they do nowadays, and the jank shows itself in both good and bad ways with this pack. You can get a sword with Sharpness Gabillion and Looting Bajillion from lootbags, which, being the first modpack I played, severely warped my perception of how quest rewards would work in future modpacks! But I kind of like that about this pack, it sort of doesn't take itself seriously. It has been a while since I played it properly, but it's a very fun pack and I've beaten it a few times. If you're looking for something that is easy to comprehend for someone new to modded MC I think this pack works for that. It's not hard by any means and has a questbook to walk you through things.

NTM is one of the most global technical mods that has ever existed in Minecraft. I've always wanted to play a modpack where this mod is connected to other mods. I even wanted to create my own modpack that would do this, but I stumbled upon this project and I liked it so much that I decided to contribute to its development and growth.

I have played this, as well as the cobblemon version, more than I have ever played any modpack in my entire life, and I play a lot of them. The progression is paced well, the gameplay feels fresh and unique, and you can really tell that Chakyl and co. really put their heart into this pack. Things like crops and machines progressing daily instead of on random ticks makes it really exciting to set things up and see the fruits of your labor in the morning.

My number one complaint in most farming-related packs is that, other than buffs, there isn't that much of a reason to branch out and cook/grow/produce a large variety of things. Sunlit Valley has a wide variety of foods, beverages, sweets, and crops that all feel worth it for the sake of diversifying your income and truly exploiting all the things that the earth can provide :-) I haven't been able to scratch the itch of wanting my variety of cute little cakes to actually matter with any other modpack.

If anyone asked me to recommend a single minecraft modpack, this would be my choice!

I'm a huge fan of PoE and Minecraft, so this modpack was created specifically for people like me. If you just want to kill mobs and create builds, this modpack is for you. The rest of the content is pretty mediocre, but the modpack was made specifically in stile PoE.
