Minecraft Mod & Modpack Reviews

This modpack is decidedly unfinished. The flashy, slick presentation and CurseForge page would lead you to believe it's polished, but the questlines are practically non-existent (many simply reading "WIP"), and core elements of gameplay go completely unexplained. The temperature and thirst system (the only mechanics with real, fleshed out quest pages) are punishing and not fun. Even skills, a vital mechanic that gates core elements of the game, are not covered in any kind of detail.

The shaders and textures for the game, as well as the animations, are stunning, as are some of the biomes and structures (though many are drab and uninteresting). Unfortunately, the beauty and interest of these incredible mods are hampered by an uninspired and unfinished modpack, with core mechanics that make the early game an unintuitive slog. This modpack would be 100% better without it's main survival mechanics.

When I found the pack the whole thing was unfortunately too late. The popularity sorting on Curseforge is a trap when it shows this because it's rife with bug and no one is working on anything anymore. The Discord server is nothing but people asking questions and getting scant answers to the best of the dwindling community's ability and it's all just a massive disappointment.

There are so many better packs out there. This could have been a great one if they'd stuck with it.

A modpack that just keeps on giving, this project shows what high quality can be achieved with years of meticulous work from an inspired creator. Nearly every single aspect of the mods in this modpack has been tweaked to fit the balance and progression of the chapters. There is such an immense amount of content here, that one never has to think long about what to do next. Thats not even mentioning the variety of tasks: The modpack is heavily automation-focused, but if you are tired of it, go out and explore one of the dimensions included in the pack, or solve puzzles that give you useful goodies for later progression.

But I must also say that this modpack will not be for everyone: It can be very overwhelming. Do not play it as your first modpack, please. Even though the in-game documentation of all those mods is stellar, it still may be a lot to learn at once. Be prepared to completely relearn how you think about base building and logistics :).

There are 400+ mods so the modpack is quite large. For some reason there MineColonies mod is not included even though the modpack description lists it. The game crashed when trying to create a new world for the first time, and in my opinion the texture pack makes everything look worse than in vanilla minecraft. The quest book is not ready either, as it only has a few mods now. Maybe the pack will be updated into a full and functional experience, but it is not that yet.

Textures look nice and there is a built-in shader, but I can still reach 100+ fps with my mid-tier computer. The modpack focuses mostly to food, so it is meant to play as a vanilla+ cozy experience, and can get boring to those who are not interested in that.

The textures feel off since I have to turn down all the settings to get enough FPS. FPS Drops to 20s when in a building with hostile mobs. The quests seem nice though

One of the single most well thought-out modpacks I have ever had the privilege to play. Performance is excellent with the Java 21 mod, which you can find a link to on their CurseForge page.

I've been playing off and on for over a year, and STILL am finding new content to do. The immense changes needed in how I think about infrastructure have catalyzed a new era of base design for me. I've been playing Minecraft vanilla and modded since Beta 1.3, and I have never seen such a mammoth mass of excellence before, or since.

I've actually taken time to learn how to improve so I can give this pack my all. It's that fun that I am studying how to play better.

The art and stuff is good in general, but this game was very confusing. First of all, I had to watch a youtube tutorial to even get the pickaxe for mining nothingness. BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: I CAN'T FRICKING OPEN THE CRAFTING MENU!!!!!!!!! IT SAYS "press c to open crafting menu" BUT I WAS SPAMMING C CROUCHING AND STANDING FOR A SOLID 5 MINUTES!!!!!!!! would say 0 out of 5 if could

Worth the play, great combat, equipment, performance, mobs and so many bosses
