I've been using Secure Craft Protect for a good while, a bit after it was released.

Gameplay.
There's a decent amount of SCPs present, around 24 including item/block SCPs. However they are all high quality with their mechanics. There is also a survival friendly way of obtaining SCPs, which are done through a compass type item called the "Reality Scanner" which helps you locate SCPs based on "Safe", "Euclid", and "Keter" item modules when put on the item. There is a good handful of decorational blocks, like wall, floor, ceiling, door blocks. Which is enough to get started on a custom facility/site. However more decorational blocks would be nice, as it's a bit lacking. I'm also looking forward to seeing more SCPs and more expansions/updates to current SCPs.

Performance.
It is pretty performant, with no noticeable issues with lag or FPS.

Aesthetics.
Textures are the first thing i look at in a mod, and are my first impression of the mod as a whole. This mod has really great textures. The entity and block textures are some of the best textures i've seen, all really high quality. Item textures are also pretty good, but some look a bit 'dated' like the candy items.

However, it is confirmed there is an update underway, so this review may quickly become outdated depending on the changes.

Disclaimer.
My studio is partnered with the studio behind Secure Craft Protect, however this is my honest and unbiased review. This is a great mod that has lots of potential, and it's already in a decently good state. Just wish there was more things like blocks and SCPs to play around with.

a port of one of the best mods of all time ! granted, the mod still is quite WIP, but it is easily the best port of HBM. the main thing that drew me in personally was the refreshed visuals and optimization, since HBM itself (in 1.12.2, for me) was very behind in vfx & extremely laggy when it came to explosions. looking forward to seeing how this mod shapes up the future !

I first used CraftTweaker way back on 1.7.10 (so like, 12 years ago now lol) - and maybe a bit on 1.6.4, but I don't remember - and figuring out how to use it & HQM is what got me into making modpacks (and now i've made about a dozen bad ones lol).

CT is a very straight-forward mod to use, but on modern versions it's fallen out of favour due to the number of mods removing support for it (and the lack of add-ons that re-add said support). KubeJS is the go-to for 1.18+ nowadays, but I'll always remember CT since it was a key part of my modpack development journey.

Before continuing with this I need to say that I am the creator of this modpack.

Please just play any other tfc pack this was made in like a week and isn't super good it has like zero custom stuff.

One of the first expert packs I played.
While I didn't get that far and only really played the mid-game (joined a server with a friend) and the early game, this pack has been very enjoyable and my experience playing the pack and watching Threefold's series have influenced how I develop packs today.

A personal favorite pack of mine, it has heavily influenced my pack development style.
It is really enjoyable with my only real complaint being the cell maze in the Bumblezone (and the ur-ghast ig).

You should totally play this if your interested in a magic themed modern expert pack.

The modpacks early game can be a bit confusing as it's changed so much from the vanilla gameplay cycle but once you have surpassed that it becomes really fun. the custom world gen and the movement of the custom origins makes exploring very exciting

Some performance issues here and there, have experienced multiple crashes

Very aesthetic world generation and built in shaders, along with custom textures for alot of the items and mobs alot of effort has clearly been put in

I’d say this is currently the best HBM successor mod out there for Minecraft. On top of that, the team is super dedicated, constantly working on the project, and dropping regular updates. They also have a great Discord server!
Also there is a Alien Block xD.

Overall, both the mod and the team are incredibly solid.

I am the developer of the pack
I have tried my best to make the gameplay of the modpack fun and have taken on feedback from users to improve the gameplay. I recently added a new quest page that summaries the whole modpack to make it easier for first time players to understand what is going on.

The V1.3 update made great improvements to performance but i am still not 100% happy with it so only 4.5 stars

I have done custom quest graphics to try and visually communicate the different magic mods progressions and avoided big walls of text but I have done more work on the aesthetics for other packs and have seen packs with better aesthetics so 4 stars for now
