The best illager/raider mod of all, better than savage and ravage When I review its (now official) port I will replace Illage and Spillage's place on the list by this one I'm just waiting for the future content of Illage and Spillage : Respillaged
Fabric port of illager additions; Has more content than the original mod for some reason, and is a somewhat official port
Goofy illagers which are surprisingly good looking, well animated and interesting for a MCreator mod Note : this mod is probably going to get out of MCreator at some point (I'll be happy to update my review when this time occurs)
Stone golem (crossbow-turret) Adjudicator (Boss) Marauder (Cowboy-Pillager) Revamps Woodland mansion (whole new structure which replaces that old one) rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Iceologer (but improved upon) Griefer (throws small creepers at you kinda) Executioner (stronger tankier Vindicator with cool wardrobe) Trickster (Jevil get out, also wait you look quite similar to Beast Slayer's puppet ? idk common texture shenanigans) Small Outpost overhaul (with fang traps) rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Cool animations, cool mobs, Minecraft Dungeon content but well implemented * has one or two bugs lying around in the last version
Vindicators but different ? Illusioners but illusionless ? Guard illagers but less interesting ? Has its purpose in medival packs, and I have high hopes for the continuation of this mod (if it still gets content) Nerfs villager golems to be made out of clay (you can still create iron golems if you want)
checked it, except for the mob on the thumbnail all of the others are meh There's hope it could receive more updates, but I wouldn't count on it
One of the few 1.12-only illager mods View it as the "Elemental Vindicators & Evokers" mod (could be much better than what it is now, but its pretty much discontinued)
In its current state ? DO NOT PLAY IT But if it gets redone like they said, it might be worth a shot
A hunter which hunts cows, villagers, humans Depending on the version can have bows, cruder swords, boomerangs or small crossbows Can heal himself through food just like the player and is meatier than most rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Support Illager, dangerous when paired with other support illagers rec complex volts structure pack use ?
MC Dungeons-inspired Illusioner + Mob vote loser Iceologer (I do like their illusioner, but prefer savage and ravage's iceologer) rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Adds Ninjars (ninja illagers which attack in melee, can sort of teleport and turn invisible at times) Adds Tengus (what if illagers could glide using elytras ?)
A knight set to defend places, uses a shield and potions Has its place alongside the vindicator rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Mod I found on MMCReviews at some point Wonder what it really does update : now I know and its definitely more decent than expected
Actually good vampire illagers ? Can infect villagers (instead of killing them) rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Cowboy musketeer-like illager which can shoot you from ridiculously far Sniper illager, can fit in certain packs rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Witch variants (perf issues in 1.12 at least) rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Not as good as I hoped At least its recent version fork (legacy) works better within the new context of raids
Crashes your game ??? Generate a new world to test this mod before adding to serious pack
better than the original, the guys working on this one are on fire rec complex volts structure pack use ?
One of the only illager mods back in 1.12 which had interesting illager concepts Worse than many current mods though
vampiric illager and necromancer (a stronger vampire with undead-summoning abilities) ?
Adds wandering pillager llama (or other) caravans with loot; quite configurable
Adds random ambush events after killing a pillager, which will feature illagers with mounts (vary depending on biomes, and works with Immersive Aircraft)
Actually decent Pirate Illagers + moving ships ? Ok maybe the mobs are not that interesting, but having laggy hostile moving enemy ships is fun
Added the Plunderer some time before (sea pirate-like illagers which attack in melee, use boats and can use this mod's cannons) (this means I'll HAVE to review supplementaries at some point which won't be easy) Isn't that funny that both quark and supplementaries feature pirate ships as rare structures ?
Allows pillagers, vindicators and evokers to use boats and patrol around when in water Also features illager ship structures
I've tried it once it was nice I'll have to try dungeons mobs beforehand though rec complex volts structure pack use ?
sht this has illagers too Illagers being various wizards and witch variants, or one Evoker/Pillager/Vindicator variant (but way more interesting in looks and behaviors) In case you want to make an absolute-raider pack : it is of note that "special illagers" (which include a couple of them) only appear in raids as well as new Illager Assault events if one player holds enough soul (this requirement for soul can be turned down all the way to 0 if you want to find them all in raids, you have been warned ) rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Adds a LOT of new mobs, and quite a big amount of new structures I don't like the shield AI within this mod as while it is MC Dungeons-accurate it doesn't work into minecraft, making the royal guards quite annoying to fight
Might review this one before the actual Goety mod Will review this mod after dungeons mobs (for comparison's sake) It seems like these mobs were never intended to be natural enemies (they are too aggressive; especially the iceologer's block of ice of doom which is hard to avoid, and the wind caller's lift spell which also is hard to avoid; They were propably only meant to be used as servants and it shows (that said animation quality and looks are top notch) rec complex volts structure pack use ?
Really OP version of Goety's Sorcerer, which only appears in the hardest of raids Actually have never seen it appear (even after messing around in the configs) He's infuriating, but can serve well to test Goety addons to see if they work
Adds a Wizard illager (which is a defensive illager kind of like Illager+'s Enchanter) Adds the Carnager (big bad boss for raids) Adds little ravager-like goblins (which are summoned by the Carnager)
Kind of industrial/steampunk raiders Not as good as it looks sadly; Have to try it seriously to be sure
Adds in a few illagers including the two unused ones from Grimoire of Gaia Not that good if I recall past memories with the mod, but I will try it again just to make sure things haven't changed;
adds new higher levels of difficulty for raids, including new illagers They are not that interesting if I recall, can it be configured
kind of goofy mod which adds many monstruosity variants and a vindicator cyborg for some reason
adds a goofy guy which throws cabbages at you Rethinks stuff about the ravager and allows you to tame one in the wild ?
Adds a highly mod-dependent boss called Thor, which has enchanted steel equipment and a powerful hammer
sword which contrasts too much with the mob (too detailled, doesn't fit) I believe If you want katana-wielding illagers look at illagers additions
Features a mid boss which is a beetle summoner; looks nice update : seems like Mcreator stuff, which isn't that interesting
seems like a Mcreator project heavily inspired by Illager Expansion Recrafted/Illager invasion Play thoses instead
adds a vindicator variant which can throw knives ? called the cleric, looks like a plague doctor
Includes many illagers, which have been forked through other projects afterwards
Features the excavator, which just seems to be a vindicator using tools More of a lore-role in structures than an enemy to fight I guess ?
A boss found in mansions (and inside a new structure), which will mimic the appearance and behavior of other illagers during his fight (a sort of bundled mix of both vanilla and modded illagers)
contains a necromancer Is this finally a good instance of a necromancer illager ? no
How did I find this mod ? That's why I have to regularly check for new illager mods
About
If you want to look for illager mods, use the "Features-Illagers" tag; turns out, most illager mods don't have "Illager" spelled out in their name, which makes it slightly harder to find them this way.
If an illager-adding mod you know of doesn't hold the "Illager" tag properly you should suggest it.
This is for every single illager-adding mod, useful to note for raid-stuff and illager-containing modpacks
It is first sorted by mods I've rated which added more than two new illagers;
Then it is sorted by mods I've rated which added only one or two illagers (possibly as part of a larger mod focused on smth else or as a standalone mod);
At last it isn't sorted (after every mod I've reviewed is gone you'll see the mods which have yet to be reviewed by me)
